You might be wondering what fregnaquanti are: they're thin egg tagliolini, a specialty of Segni.
They can be seasoned in any way:
Clams, porcini mushrooms, porcini mushrooms and clams, garlic, oil, and chili pepper, with butter, with sauce like the women of Segni used to make...
Generous portions.
But Scroccarocco isn't just fregnaquanti; the menu is full of delicacies, including desserts featuring the famous zozzamucco.
I recommend booking regardless of the day, and I'll end with the usual motto: try it and believe it.

28/02/2026: After spending a pleasant morning exploring the ancient town of Segni, the cherry on top was this trattoria, which delighted us with a varied appetizer (both hot and cold), delicious and full of unique flavors. The Fregnaquanti pasta with ragu were amazing, and the apple pie was freshly made by them. A good value. Highly recommended. Bravo, Stefania!
14/02/2026: Excellent food, cooked with love and precision, without frills or frills. Every meal is a small masterpiece...it's rare to find places like this.
PS: The paintings on display for sale are also beautiful.

01/03/2026: Excellent trattoria in Segni, a beautiful village in the province of Rome. The restaurant is located in the historic center, very close to a beautiful medieval loggia. It's a charming place, where you dine immersed in history. The food is truly excellent, reasonably priced, and the staff are very friendly.

12/10/2025: A welcoming, family-friendly place tucked away in the mountains. The menu is deliberately minimal, but it allows you to appreciate the local delicacies.
23/09/2025: The place is beautiful, we had lunch outside with fresh and clean air (about 800 m above sea level), but the service was a bit slow.

29/07/2025: Oltre 2 ore di attesa per una cotoletta arrivata cosìanzi 2 avanzi di carne. Ditemi se è professionale e corretto.La cotoletta è a pezzo unico ,di certo non questi 2 miseri pezzetti che sicuramente avanzavano altrimenti non li avreste cotti,quando un piatto esce dalla cucina si controlla se tutto ok..Con che faccia portate al tavolo un secondo del genere,Alta forse 0.005 millimetri ,secca neanche si riusciva a tagliare e di sicuro impresentabile.I 2 pezzetti forse a 50 gr. arrivavano!Dovreste vergognarvi!

13/04/2025: Ho soggiornato una notte, tutto perfetto,personale gentile, camera e ristorante, lo consiglio a tutto quello
che serve.
17/03/2025: pernottato per un paio di notti, la camera è pulita e la sua dimensione è giusta manca un tavolino per ed il frigobar è un po rumoroso, il bagno risulta vissuto, come potete constatare dalle foto in particolare dello specchio del lavandino
i mobilia sarebbe da rimodernare
la colazione non è abbondante ma giusta

10/11/2024: Siamo stati qui perché siamo andati a MagicLand e posso dire tutto perfetto dai proprietari e camerieri gentilissimi stanze buone, ma la ciliegina sulla torta e stato il cibo e il prezzo,io posso dire tutto ottimo poi sono gusti .da ritornare e consigliare

17/11/2024: Abbiamo preso due fettuccine ai funghi che sembravano tagliolini scotti in brodo (10 euro a porzione). Abbiamo chiesto un quarto di vino e ci hanno portato mezzo litro di una roba che sapeva di aceto (euro 3.50!!!). Ci hanno fatto pagare 3 euro di coperto ma non abbiamo capito perché visto che non abbiamo avuto pane. Naturalmente niente menu e il conto era su un pezzo di carta qualsiasi. Mi hanno fatto lo scontrino perché ho pagato con la carta. Esperienza pessima. Peccato non aver letto le recensioni prima!
