29/10/2025: A quiet and overall good hotel, I think it's the only one in Pontinia. The rooms are a bit small, but the bathroom is spacious. The beds have mattresses that are a bit too soft for my taste.
Unfortunately, the windows don't have screens, and when I left them slightly open to let the air circulate, a few insects got in, disturbing my sleep. Cleanliness seems good. It's getting old, and it shows; it could use a general modernization, but it's still a good property with a pleasant restaurant, which has a lovely atmosphere and the dishes we tried were truly excellent. The garden is lovely, and the pool is okay. The staff is friendly, although they asked me to pay for dinner immediately (!) instead of at checkout, as if I were planning on running away... The breakfast buffet could also include something savory, not just sweet. Overall, it's okay, but there are some things that could be improved. See you next time!

I had a soup of mussels from Lake Paola, "excellent!"

11/10/2025: We asked if everything was gluten-free because that's what we understood from the ads. Our daughter has celiac disease. They said yes. There must have been a communication problem. Because in the end they let my daughter eat an entire pizza with gluten!!!! I would expect that if you ask if it's gluten-free (we asked in Italian) you wouldn't just bring things with gluten to the table.
05/10/2025: Very disappointing. The pizzeria advertises itself as gluten-free, but we were served pizzas that contained gluten — a serious issue for anyone with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. In addition, the pizzas were dry and tasteless, and the high prices were completely unjustified. A very disappointing experience — we won’t be coming back and do not recommend this place to others.

Today, October 4, 2025, is the last day the campsite is open. We got a spot for one night. The beach is right on our doorstep and it's amazing. We were able to choose our spot. The showers and restrooms were clean and OK. The staff was very, very friendly. We also ate in the restaurant. Amazing seafood pizza and a delicious salad! The staff were funny and in a good mood. We'd love to come back next season.

And then there's a menu that, to say the least, is an understatement. The owners and service are impeccable, both in their friendliness and their expertise in displaying the products.

01/01/2026: A New Year's Eve dinner to remember. The entrees were as per the menu, but desserts and cotechino weren't included, unless they were served at 2 a.m. Although they say it was due to a fault, both the pellet boiler and the convector heaters weren't working, so we ate in the freezing cold, which was very unpleasant, especially considering the price we paid per person. They put in a temporary cover, which didn't do much, and we didn't find adequate hospitality or an immediate solution to the problems. Obviously, since it's New Year's Eve, a lot of people were buzzing, without realizing that excessive food could be annoying. On a positive note, the DJ was very kind!
At the cash register, since they didn't bring us all the dishes on the menu, we expected to pay, not full price, but a discount. We won't return and highly discouraged. In fact, we understood why there were so few people.
Few staff, equals poor efficiency.

04/09/2025: Ball tent. Opening time on the maps is wrong, so we arrived half an hour early. A waiter told us they open at 7:30 PM, so he asked if we could wait a bit longer. We returned at half past 7:00 PM, and the waiter told us they were fully booked. A real slam dunk.
