12/05/2024: I usually never leave reviews on the places I frequent, unfortunately today I feel like I have to. I won't talk specifically about the food, it didn't drive me crazy but there may be people who appreciate this type of cuisine, but I want to focus on the service. Upon arrival we are immediately offered starters, we accept thinking that the menu will be given to us later. Meanwhile, I realize that our tablecloth is already dirty and stained, but I try not to pay too much attention to it. After consuming the appetizers and requesting a glass of rosé, we wait a long time because the place is very full, whereupon we call the waiter to ask to view the menu or order a first course, we are told that some paccheri are being released and that we they will be brought as soon as possible, we decline the paccheri and ask to kindly see the menu. The menu will never be delivered to us, but we will retrieve it from a nearby table whose customers have recently left. The waiter then, almost surprised by our refusal of the paccheri, asks us what we want and gives us a quick list. We ask for spaghetti with clams which will be delivered to the table after half an hour, but not even a hint. The waiter brings a tray with the dish we requested and clumsily fills our plates. He then explains to us that to save both money and time it is better to order what they offer us and then tries to give us a fried fish to put in the centre, then agreeing on a final price of €45 each. Now, having retrieved the menu, we realize that the starters cost €15, all the first courses are €15, so I wonder where the convenience was in adding another €15 each for a dish that individually on the menu costs €20. We refuse and eat the meal. At the end we go to pay and discover that the bill amounts to €80, knowing the prices we ask for details and here we discover that the bill had already been prepared, that the staff was not aware of the prices of the dishes and that they wanted to give us a glass of wine at the cost of an entire bottle because, according to the waiter who had served us from the beginning, the bottle had now been opened. Too bad that the bottle was already open with a teaspoon placed on top, whose scientifically proven purpose is perhaps not to alter the properties of the wine(?). In the end, fortunately, the only waitress in the place came to our aid who had kindness, patience, competence and understanding for the situation, she redid the bill by inserting the correct prices with the result of an equally high bill for the quality offered . Thus ends our experience in this place. Moral of the story: Taranto is a city where you can find places, even very rustic and spartan, where you eat very well and the service is excellent. Unfortunately, I don't consider the Little Mermaid among them.

12/05/2024: Veramente osteria suggestiva , salto nel tempo di almeno 50 anni . La Signora con l'aiuto delle sue 2 figlie offre piatti antichi in maniera semplice . Chiaramente chi ha alte aspettative non è questo il luogo , prezzo in linea con i tempi attuali . 4 stelle meritate

25/04/2024: I thought that by choosing the tavern in a small hamlet I would have spent less and eaten better, but instead 60 euros for two for a paltry starter, two abundant but undercooked first courses, excellent second courses without a side dish, half a glass of red wine. Monacizzo will never see us again!

14/10/2023: We are disappointed. We booked a suite for a weekend in their facility including a hydro-massage tub in the room, sauna and sea view. Instead we found ourselves in a room that could not be defined as a suite, without a sea view and with the sauna not accessible. We immediately turned to the reception to change rooms, possibly at a higher cost, but there was no response from them. The only positive note was the kindness of the girl who regretted what had happened. We will not return again considering the difference between the cost (not low) and the service used.

17/01/2024: Sono entrata in questo bar,che già strutturalmente è decadente, ma la cosa sconcertante è che ho fatto colazione con una mia amica, nel frattempo un nostro conoscente seduto al tavolo suo si è avvicinato per salutarci, non ci crederete ho dovuto pagare il coperto anche per lui per il semplice fatto che si sia seduto due minuti a salutarci. Meritate di chiudere

08/05/2024: Cozy and quiet place, beautiful and original, good food and welcoming staff, the only flaw is: it is a little cold as it has no heating and a little dark, but overall it is pleasant.

26/04/2024: Nice place and very kind and attentive staff. The limited choice and high costs for the dishes. Food without grit. Pizza not available starting from the end of April. Summer is better than winter.
