"Grano Cucina" in Santena is a place that conquers from the first taste. The aperitifs and drinks are really good, plentiful and well prepared, ideal for starting the evening with gusto. Perhaps the prices are slightly high for the average, but the quality offered largely justifies them.
The pizzas and dishes from the kitchen, however, simply must be tried: authentic flavours, quality ingredients and a presentation that makes your mouth water just by looking at them. Here too the prices are not among the lowest, but the overall experience pays off amply.
Special praise goes to the staff: kind, professional and extremely polite. Always available, smiling and attentive, they manage to make the customer feel welcomed and at ease.
A welcoming and well-managed place, perfect for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends. Highly recommended!

26/04/2025: They made a small mistake with my pizza, bringing me a different taste than what I ordered. However, instead of complaining, they immediately prepared a new pizza with the right taste! The service was impeccable and the staff very friendly. The pizza is delicious and the price is reasonable. I highly recommend this pizzeria for the quality and service!👏❤️😍

Cosa dire ... il voto eccellente è per la cucina, il locale, l'accoglienza e il prezzo. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti. Claudio e Gabriella.
24/01/2025: Our experience at Ristorante Le Vecchie Credenze was truly unforgettable. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Antonella, whose hospitality instantly made us feel at ease and completely comfortable — she was an absolute treasure.
My wife thoroughly enjoyed the rich flavors of the Risotto Gran Cavour ai Porcini (€15.00), while I savored the delicate taste of the Coscia di Coniglio al Calvados e Crocchette di Borlotti (€18.00). Both dishes were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The wine paired perfectly with our meal, and the variety of bread served was both unique and delicious.
The ambiance struck a perfect balance between understated sophistication and a welcoming, homey vibe. The restaurant also offers additional rooms to accommodate large groups and has ample parking, making it very convenient.
We were delighted to meet the chef and owner, who greeted us warmly, adding a personal touch to an already wonderful evening. We absolutely loved our time here, would definitely return, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Saluti

Agriturismo Antico Pioppo

07/07/2024: Ed eccoci alla seconda visita all’Antico pioppo, da Carolina in quel di Santena, nei pressi di Torino, famosa per la produzione di asparagi e per il Palazzo e la tomba del conte Camillo Benso di Cavour.
Dopo avere rigorosamente prenotato, eccoci al pranzo che ha come protagonista il celebre piatto piemontese: il gran Fritto misto.
Sono 24 / 25 portate tra carne, verdura, frutta e dolci, rigorosamente impanati e fritti in olio rovente: ottimi per cottura, fragranza e croccantezza, non unte e eseguite in maniera perfetta.
Certo non è stata un pranzo dietetico anche perché le porzioni sono veramente abbondanti, ma da tutti apprezzato: una particolarità, che non avevo mai visto prima inserita nel Fritto Misto, sono state le cosciette di rana, di dimensioni generose e quindi ricche di carne da spolpare.
Un’ottimo pranzo anche se, per adesso, non voglio più sentire parlare di fritto misto per almeno sei mesi.
La prossima visita all’ Antico Pioppo sarà per il menù “tutto asparagi”, di cui Santena è uno dei maggiori produttori nazionali e dove , ogni anno, si tiene la Sagra dell’Asparago. (Quest’ anno ha avuto luogo dal Dal 17 al 26 maggio 2024
L'asparago di Santena presenta turioni con apice appuntito e di colore verde intenso, con sfumature violacee, ha una lunghezza media di 22 cm. e la parte colorata comprende circa il 65% della lunghezza totale.
Quindi…..arrivederci alla prossima….!!!!
01/06/2024: Non metto una sola stella solamente per gentilezza .. credo sia stata una delle peggiori cene dei miei ultimi 15 anni.. come qualità del cibo intendo. Prezzi normali.
