08/11/2025: Excellent location, halfway between Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore.
We stayed for two nights, the rooms were cozy and spotless.
The property is surrounded by greenery, far from traffic.
We had dinner both evenings in the restaurant, which served authentic home cooking with a simple but exceptional menu (the desserts were superb).
The owners were very kind.
01/11/2025: We had lunch with the family. The owners are very kind and helpful. The lunch consisted of simple, authentic dishes, exactly what we wanted. We found everything very good. We'll be back.

Gallo verde

10/11/2025: The restaurant and pizzeria Il Gallo Verde in Gattico didn't impress me at all in terms of food. On the other hand, the pizza is decent. They should improve the food a little more with the cooking of the pasta, and it's too cooked for my taste. The staff is very kind and friendly, I don't argue about that. Next time I want to try the food again and I'll keep you updated. Enjoy your meal everyone.
28/10/2025: I decided to celebrate my birthday in this pizza restaurant (Saturday evening)
The dishes from the kitchen are really excellent.
But the pizza is really super.
Thin and very easy to digest with great ingredients.
Even though there were a lot of people, we were served quickly.

Cibo buono , nulla da dire , un po' troppo lento il servizio.
Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Prima del turismo di massa, questo tipo di locali, frequentato soprattutto da viaggiatori di lungo tragitto, erano la meta favorita. Cibo genuino, prezzo conveniente. Esperienza positiva ed economica.
