06/11/2025: The polenta is good, the pizzas are excellent, Stefano is very kind, his wife is in the kitchen, Stefano serves at the bar, we feel like at home, you can watch football matches, I recommend the Gran Viver bar restaurant, the service is top, then go and eat also to drink, one of the best welcomes in Entracque 😄

21/10/2025: Baia Monte Gelas has become a regular stop every time I visit this area. I'm grateful for the kindness, patience, and helpfulness of the owners, including the legendary Renzo, who always patiently accommodated my every request. The polenta is excellent, with the option of a quasi-all-you-can-eat menu if the entire table opts for the €24 menu with various sauce samples. The restrooms and restaurant are always clean and impeccable. The desserts are also excellent. Advance reservations are highly recommended, especially since you might not be able to find a table at the last minute.

I was taken aback, and instead of leaving them there, I took them. Damn!

I spent €28 and ended up putting everything in the bin.
Nice owner and it looks nice from the outside but everything else about the shop is disgusting and expensive. It is totally gross and rank.
The cheese is literally rotting on the counter in front of the customers nose. Food has maggots in it. Bread and pastries are weeks old.
What a total rip off. I am sorry to write such a bad review but this shop is a health hazard and something needs to be said.
I am struggling to get over the bad experience and move on. To be charged exorbitant prices for stale and old food is outrageous. The maggots are bad enough but the way the owner pretends to be nice and kindly only to literally feed you maggots is really hard to forget. Gross. I am shocked that this shop has not been closed down.

23/02/2025: Cibo tipico delle valli. Buona polenta accompagnata da cinghiale, salsiccia, spezzatino e fonduta di formaggio. Buoni i dolci sicuramente fatti in casa.
01/11/2024: Sono tornata in questa "locanda" a distanza di molti anni quando mi.ero trovata molto bene.
Piatti senza infamia e senza lode. Location all'interno un po' trascurara. La bottiglia di vino.nebbiolo con calici minuscoli che di solito si usano per l'amaro. Una fonduta arrivata a tavola alla fine del piatto a cui si sarebbe dovuta accompagnare che tutto era meno che una fonduta ( brodosa e molto gorgonzolosa)
Il dolce...niente di che.

Mangiato 4 uova al tegamino (senza patate arrosto) una piccola ciotola di capucci insalata birra 25,00 euro
Manco dovessero portarle su a mano una per una .
Sconsiglio , troppo caro
17/07/2024: Trekking itinerante all’interno delle Alpi Marittime. Partiti dal parcheggio del lago della Rovina abbiamo camminato per l’unico sentiero percorribile. Siamo stati accolti dai gestori che ci sono venuti incontro lungo la strada. Lo sforzo è stato ben ripagato dal fascino del posto, il rifugio è proprio ai piedi dell’Argentera, caratterizzato dalla tranquillità e dalla bellezza del paesaggio. L’accoglienza dei gestori è stata ottima, ci hanno dato una camera per quattro, una da tre e una da dieci e quindi abbiamo avuto la possibilità di stare solo noi del Gruppo CAI ROMA. Ciliegina sulla torta: le buone pietanze sia a cena che a colazione! La signora Laura ha poi regalato alle due accompagnatrici un braccialetto ricordo poiché per la prima volta al rifugio è arrivato un gruppo CAI guidato solo da donne. Sinceramente consigliato e da tornarci appena possibile. Grazie mille da tutto il Gruppo Senior CAI Sez. ROMA
