Crotto Montepiatto

19/10/2025: After a nice hike of about an hour, we arrived at the Montepiatto crotto and stuffed ourselves well... an appetizer to nibble on, then we tried the pizzoccheri, polenta uncia (excellent), stew, leek and wild boar crepes (very good), baked potatoes, and a trio of desserts (ricotta and blueberry and rosemary panna cotta tart and chocolate and chestnut mousse—three delights...but the tart is truly amazing). The meal ended with a nice Génépi digestif. We were inside... a lovely, warm atmosphere considering the gloomy day... but since there were also customers at the outside tables, unfortunately, the door was opened too frequently. And this annoyed the customers near it (we just agreed). Other than that, nothing much to complain about... at most, when you book and it starts to get cold, ask for a table near the stove 😉 The guys are super helpful and always smiling. A note about the trail to get there from Torno: we accidentally took a mule track that was blocked in one spot. It wasn't exactly easy, though, and not for everyone...let's say medium-level, because it's constantly uphill. The descent feels the same. I recommend anyone who wants to eat at the crotto to wear suitable shoes and, given the length of the climb, be at least somewhat fit for walking...and then enjoy a hearty lunch!
06/09/2025: After a lovely walk from Torno, even with children accustomed to walking, you arrive in this beautiful village where you can eat at the Montepiatto crotto. The staff are extremely kind and friendly, the food is authentic and spectacular, and the location is top-notch. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

02/12/2025: Our family of 4 had the amazing experience to stay 3 nights at this hotel. We cannot say enough positive things about this marvelous place. The hotel is located on the lake, surrounded by mountains and unparalleled natural beauty. The hotel staff was very accommodating and attentive - ready to help with every single one of our needs - always with a smile. We highly recommend the restaurant - every single dish we tried, especially the risotto, octopus, and fish were delicious and the wine list had a great variety. We hope to be back in a near future.
23/11/2025: The stay was simply perfect! The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The room was large and comfortable.
The restaurant is charming and the food delicious!
The setting is also magnificent, right on the lake and in a picturesque location. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!

05/05/2025: Siamo venuti in questo meraviglioso ristorante sotto suggerimento di una nostra cara amica, così da poter festeggiare al meglio il nostro anniversario.
Location con vista spettacolare e qualità del cibo eccelsa! Ma quello che ci ha colpito indubbiamente di più è l'accuratezza nei confronti del cliente, poche volte ci siamo sentiti così coccolati neanche in quelli più lussuosi si trova sempre questo alto livello.
Quindi vogliamo fare i nostri più sentiti complimenti a tutto il personale, grazie per aver reso il nostro giorno ancora più speciale.

02/05/2025: Da sempre e’ tra i ristoranti scelti con la famiglia e gli amici, per le nostre uscite a pranzo, cena e per le occasioni speciali . Il ristorante ha grandi finestre in prima fila sul secondo romantico bacino del lago di Como, in località Torno. La cucina propone ottimi menu settimanali, una carta con piatti di stagione e ricette locali sia di carne che di pesce sempre cucinati con la nostra massima soddisfazione . Ottimi vini, e liquori consigliati con la giusta competenza . Alla sera hanno creato una nuova atmosfera (molto apprezzata), unica e romantica con luci sui tavoli e un piacevole sottofondo musicale. Sono tutti svelti, attenti e pronti ad offrire il buon servizio …👏, ti fanno sentire così bene che restiamo sempre più a lungo del previsto. Prezzi giusti, cani ammessi ma meglio prenotare in anticipo. Bravi e complimenti siete ottimi “padroni di casa” .

Preso aperitivo con un tagliere e stuzzichini vari. Bella vista, personale gentile e prezzi tutto sommato abbordabili,
28/12/2024: Solo puedo recomendar este lugar! El personal era muy agradable, y nos sentimos muy bien. La comida y las bebidas eran deliciosas. No era caro, los precios eran excelentes. Un ambiente agradable con una vista impresionante. Nos sentimos como si estuviéramos en una película italiana. Muy recomendable, 10 / 10. Estuvimos aquí en diciembre.
