03/04/2024: The food was amazing. I highly recommend the octopus as a starter. The waiter was friendly and the full menu was well explained in English for me. I highly recommend here.

07/04/2024: Place with a fabulous view, worth visiting for anyone who passes through these parts even just for an aperitif. Prices are slightly high, but worth the price of access to paradise.

09/05/2024: We expected more than what was offered. Price-performance ratio is too high in my opinion. Food was good but nothing more. Location great. The waiters were courteous.

05/05/2024: For the quality of the food, it should cost at least half as much. Not to mention the fact that there were 4 of us and they gave us a table for 2 people (I had even booked 2 days before). The only nice things about this place were the young waiters, very good, friendly and with a sense of decency compared to their older and ruder colleagues, and the location.

06/05/2024: Excellent food, atmosphere and service!! Highly recommended. My sea bass was exquisite and so were the rest of the dishes. Good quality and presentation!!

02/05/2024: I started dining at Glicine nearly 10 years ago. It was my favourite restaurant in Italy. The beautiful setting of lake Como, the gorgeous background of violet Glicine blossoms outside the restaurant when they are season (the italian equivalent of Cherry Blossom season in Japan) … but this is nothing next to the quality and art of chef and owner Francesco Pozzi when it was all about the passion for classic and traditional italian cuisine. I am told the establishment now has a new chef (which explains the change) and alas my dinner tonight, will be my last. I would rather live with the memories of my past experiences than have to endure any more of the modern concussion of flavours that do not sit well together nor pay homage to centuries perfecting italian cuisine. I guess everything in life has to evolve and the place still attracts a lot of customers although clearly a different type of clientele. I wish them the best in this new direction but this is where I get off.
