07/06/2025: We were at Filo d’Olio with my family and the experience was truly enjoyable in every way. The food is excellent, with attention to detail and authentic flavors that enhance the local products. The location is enchanting, with a view of the lake that makes lunch even more special. The staff was very kind, friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Il Filo d’Olio was an absolute highlight of my trip. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was memorable. The service was equally impressive: warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. The setting is charming, and if you’re lucky enough to get a table with a view, it makes the experience even more special.
Highly recommend this place — it truly stands out among the many restaurants I’ve visited in Italy!

17/05/2025: We went here for dinner and here is our review: the location and view are amazing with nice views of the lake, villages and mountains. The service was also very good with many friendly servers around. Now the disappointing parts: We each had an appetizer for more than €20 and both were huge disappointments. Especially, the 1 cm thick quiche with duck meat, probably weighing 100 grams! (€23) The main course was a further disappointment with each costing €37 and €35. The fish of the day was simple and maybe 150 grams of meat with an average taste. The tuna filet was so small that we estimate it at around 100 grams while the taste was nothing special - just fried in the pan and a little salt on top. Finally, because we were still hungry, we shared another ridiculously small desert for €13 Euro at an estimated weight of 50 grams. At this point we felt pretty ripped off and were further shocked by the total bill which included €12 for 2 bottles of water and €12 for “coperto” (just sitting down). We would recommend only going there for drinks and pizza - but be aware that a pizza dinner for 2 people will probably set you back €100!

27/04/2025: After a nice walk we had lunch (with reservation) at Roccolo San Bernardo. Fabulous location, good food, attentive service. The only flaw is the portions of the first course (pizzoccheri) which are a bit small, even if, as mentioned, very good. House wine acceptable. Normal prices even if you expect to spend a little less from a farmhouse.

A man who will make your stay unforgettable. An artist, musician, writer, an invaluable figure, historical memory of the delightful village and in short a friend of every customer.
A unique, incomparable experience, which will make you discover the true Italian culture, made of stories, music and good food.
The historic place is well enhanced by the small square and the view overlooking the lake.
A few meters away every service and honest prices.

Does this hotel mean it is definitive or only long-term in winter?

02/06/2025: Unfortunately I take away two stars that I had put 4 years ago.
The glass of wine for 8 euros seemed like a tasting sample, certainly not like in the first photo.
30/05/2025: We were out on our motorbikes on May 1st, the heat and the traffic were nightmares when suddenly we saw this place along the road, we stopped (with the motorbike it is easy to park for cars a nightmare given the lack of space and parking) and, after they made us sit facing the lake (even though we had not booked) with a breathtaking view, we took two platters (cold cuts and cheeses) a Caesar Salad (huge) a beer and a spritz (51 euros). The price may seem high but the quality, the service and the view enjoyed, justified the expense. Recommended

Hotel San Marino Restaurant

18/05/2025: found by chance and in a hurry it turned out to be a real surprise, very large room, balcony with a view, large bathroom, very bright and clean room, comfortable beds, parking under the hotel, shame I couldn't try either the breakfast or the restaurant but I had other commitments
11/05/2025: Based on the photos, it can be concluded that each room has a balcony, which was important to me. We specifically booked a 3-person room and we were two because of the balcony with a view of the lake. After checking in and receiving the room key, we were surprised that there was no balcony, so we went back to the reception to say that it was probably a mistake, and the lady told us that to get a room with a balcony, we should call in advance and say that we wanted a balcony because there are no rooms with a balcony at the boking. I was surprised because it was in the photos (at least you could conclude that it was in the photos). Finally, seeing our dissatisfaction, the lady offered us a room with a balcony for which we had to pay 20 euros extra. Please pay attention because you may be unpleasantly surprised when you get there. The rest is acceptable.
