08/11/2025: We went for dinner this evening while walking by the lake with our puppy, and from the moment we walked in, they were super sweet with our dog and with us, very polite and super kind, attentive to everything. The food is good, the prices are very fair, but it has to be said, when a place makes you feel good, you deserve to be rewarded. It's absolutely worth it, a family-run restaurant with a lot of choices. They sell craft beer, homemade pasta, and many other things. I absolutely recommend it ❤️

03/01/2026: Terrible experience. We stopped for lunch with friends... the idea of a plate of pasta, especially for the child who hadn't been well... so they kindly made us sit down... we ordered two risottos, two mezze maniche with tomato sauce, trofie with pesto... and finally a pasta in bianco for the child... I hear... We don't have pasta in bianco... I repeat... you don't have pasta in bianco? The lady repeats... we don't have pasta in bianco... I'm perplexed... everyone is perplexed... the question that comes to everyone is... but if they have pasta with sauce, with pesto. ... how can they not have white pasta? Okay
We ate 4 stir-frys... and not even Findus... because the dishes arrived were ready... and not good... speechless... we didn't get up out of politeness... but they must have been quite honest... you don't offer restaurant service... without being up to par... or not having the raw materials... I would have no reason to pretend... the reviews were positive... in hindsight... they were only positive for the pizza...
Obviously. Never again.

16/01/2026: I was at the Central Bar in Lovere one evening and ordered a waffle with ice cream. Not liking the flavors on the list, I asked if they could be changed and to remove the whipped cream. I was told that it could be done, but when the waffle arrived, it was without the changes I had requested. I pointed out to the waiter that it wasn't what I had ordered, especially the whipped cream, which I didn't want, and his response was: "Well, put it aside, it won't matter," and he didn't even ask me if it would be okay for me anyway. I found the whole thing incredibly rude, especially considering that they're not cheap, and the waiter didn't even try to find a solution. He was very rude.

04/01/2026: 53 minutes after ordering pizzas in a half-empty restaurant, I ask the waiter about our pizzas since the people who arrived after us were already having dessert. At this point, the waiter, arrogantly and condescendingly, asks me if I want to go and make them myself... but we're out of our minds! The pizza isn't good, dry, and the dough is poor quality. In my opinion, a terrible pizzeria! Stop at Lucignolo on the road, much better!

04/01/2026: A truly remarkable restaurant. Located directly on the lake, it offers a stunning view. The menu isn't terribly extensive, which, in my opinion, is a sign of the attention paid to the food served. We enjoyed excellent appetizers (the fish appetizer was interesting, and the prawns over polenta were delicious) and equally good first courses (paccheri with perch and the classic casonsei pasta). I also think the small bottles offered are a smart choice (there's a good selection), for those who don't want to overdo it with wine. The only minor flaw is that the appetizers weren't served at the same time, but rather with a reasonable amount of time between them, but there were quite a few customers, which is entirely excusable. Prices are in line with the food served. Of course, we can't help but mention the setting: Lovere is truly a stunning place. It's worth walking along the lakeside and visiting the inland part of town. Very chic!!!
31/12/2025: We stopped in Lovere for lunch at this restaurant. The place is well-maintained and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We ordered three pizzas, which were truly delicious, and the desserts were delicious! The view of the lake is the icing on the cake! Definitely recommended.

11/08/2025: One of the best focaccias we've tried in Liguria!
06/08/2025: Highly recommended. Their focaccia is the best I've had in Liguria and probably the best I've ever had. I've been a couple of times, and the second time I ordered two trays before leaving for home. The owner was really helpful, as I had a train connection and had to rush through everything.
I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again!

An outdoor lunch under a wonderful winter sun: freshly cut salad, a superb buffalo mozzarella, loads of smoked salmon, all garnished with almonds and avocado 🥑. Top-notch craft beer 🍺. The girls serving the tables are kind and polite. An extremely positive experience 💯. Well done.
17/09/2025: Right in the middle of Lovere's market square. A great place to enjoy an evening snack or a few Aperols. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The paninis are fresh and crispy. The value for money is absolutely reasonable for the great location. We love coming back here every year :-)

07/01/2026: An excellent experience with a couple of Dutch friends. The menu was comprehensive, the food was good, and the price I thought was fair. Excellent value. The service was informal and trattoria-like. The charismatic owner welcomed us warmly, and at the end of the evening, when we were alone in the restaurant, he entertained our Dutch friends with music and complimentary liqueurs. They will surely remember it as a pleasant evening.
05/01/2026: The owner is TOO COOL, it's worth it already... the food was delicious, the girl who served us was very good and very nice, but on the other hand, with an owner like that you're either compatible or you're out... beautiful experience 🔝

02/01/2026: From the outside, it's hard to tell what the restaurant is all about. We were helped promptly at the downstairs counter and directed to the upstairs restaurant. The service there was good, and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, we really expected the pizzas to come from a real wood-fired oven. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. As a result, the pizzas weren't very tasty. Fortunately, we were able to park easily nearby, and the area was beautifully lit.
01/01/2026: We arrived at 7:15 pm on December 31st. We expected a lot of people and to be turned away, but no! Maybe because we arrived early and there were 2-3 other tables before us, but only a 5-minute wait for the pizza and a few more minutes for the casoncelli! We ate very well and could return without a doubt! The waiters were very kind and helpful!

30/12/2025: Lunch at Trattoria Aurora in Lovere was overall very pleasant, in a simple and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a leisurely lunch. The service was friendly and there were no long waits, which is always appreciated.
For my appetizer, I chose the beef carpaccio with arugula and parmesan: a generous portion, fresh and tender meat, well-seasoned and very tasty, one of the best dishes of the lunch.
For the first course, the paccheri with shrimp was decent but a bit bland; perhaps it lacked a bit of character or flavor to make it more impactful. On the other hand, the mushroom and Bagòss risotto was excellent, just the right amount of creaminess, flavorful, and with a perfect balance between the mushroom flavor and the bold cheese.
Prices were normal for the area and the type of cuisine offered, and adequate for the quality. Overall, a positive experience, with some dishes that were successful and others that could be improved, but definitely a place to return to, especially for the risotto.

20/09/2025: Beautiful lakefront location, a refined and modern venue, lounge music, soft lighting, and a fantastic aperitif, both the mojito and the delicious appetizers. We were greeted warmly and friendly by the bartender and wait staff.

30/01/2026: Omg, I'm so disappointed.
The fish capricciosa still makes me want to vomit.
The margarita and four cheeses were okay.
No English menu.
Despite the place being empty!!, we were given a table in the garden section, which left much to be desired and is begging for a renovation.
The service was a joke. The waitress took our order and spoke English, but after the meal was served, we were attended to by a woman who spoke neither English nor English.
The women's bathroom was a nightmare, and I'm not talking about the toilet that wasn't flushed...

Azienda Agrituristica Cinque Abeti

09/09/2025: We had lunch on Sunday at this agriturismo in Bossico, overlooking Lake Iseo. The flavors were truly authentic, the cheeses they make are excellent, and the portions generous enough for discerning palates. The house wine is also drinkable and makes for a relaxing weekend with the family. This is a truly beautiful place surrounded by greenery, perfect for starting long walks. The courtesy and kindness of the owners, which is not a given these days, is also worthy of mention.
We'll definitely be back!
01/05/2025: If you are looking for tranquility and want to eat well, this is the right place, 4 of us stayed for 2 nights with our dog, breakfast included, plentiful with excellent products, friendly and helpful owners.
