28/05/2025: Magnificent discovery for this restaurant on the heights of FORIO with a superb view of the sunset and the vineyards. The setting is magnificent. You can have lunch or dinner outside under a pergola or inside. The service is impeccable and smiling and extremely kind. The dishes are tasty and plentiful. The vegetables come from the garden. Everything is perfect from the mignardise offered at the starter to the antipasti, the starter, the main course and the dessert. Delicious 😋 🤩the dishes are beautifully presented and succulent. I highly recommend it. Go there with your eyes closed 🙏🤩

16/05/2025: We have been to this restaurant twice already. And we are still amazed. Unfortunately the holidays are over and we will not be able to return until next year. First of all it is an absolutely magnificent place. With a view and a sunset to die for. Everything we ate was divine, the rabbit in all its forms and the dessert with lemon mousse and red fruits were delicious, the welcome was absolutely perfect. Everyone is very attentive, we were received both times especially by Pasquale and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts for all his kindness, his patience and his dedication, we will return with him as soon as possible, we absolutely recommend you to discover this unmissable place on the island. 13/05/2025: we came a bit by chance from our splendid hotel le poggio which is nearby and we were first fascinated by this incomparable environment, we were lucky to be received by an absolutely lovely waiter who positioned us ideally to see the magnificent sunset. We were very well informed despite our lack of English and Italian and he informed us very well. We enjoyed ourselves from start to finish, we really recommend this wonderful restaurant, we were really impressed with everything. a big thank you to the whole team. 02/05/2025: First day in Ischia as soon as we arrived despite almost half an hour before closing they welcomed us with kindness and friendliness... attentive and punctual service excellent food... organized for gluten free... home made appetizer with a lot of choice and variety of vegetables for the gluten free option... excellent ravioli stuffed with black pig under a "sheet" of colonnade lard... tender and very tasty kebabs accompanied by potatoes, price in line with the quality of the products…highly recommended

15/05/2025: Super delicious! It was my first time eating braised rabbit, and it was incredibly good. The pasta was also among the best I've ever tasted. The food was simply fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful, with great views over Ischia. It would have been perfect in sunshine. The owner is friendly and entertaining; overall, a truly perfect dining experience.

01/05/2025: Such a beautiful little restaurant - the owner was so sweet and very funny. Made sure we were warm and we had a beautiful glass of Prosecco as a welcome which was nice. Food was phenomenal. Recommend heading just before sunset so you can watch it set over the water. Food felt like nonna had cooked it and the staff were super friendly.

24/05/2025: The MOST delicious and super fresh tomato mozzarella and tuna bruschetta of my life!!! Was not expecting this quality of food. Homemade limoncello is fantastic as well - also had it in spritz form. I’ll be coming back again tomorrow. One of the best things I’ve eaten in 3 weeks in Italy. Prices are also extremely affordable considering the other surrounding restaurants. Amazing!!!! Thank you 🙏 🍅 💓

15/05/2025: We went here for a late dinner. They didn't have gluten free pasta for my partner, but did some substitutions in some dishes so we had octopus over a potato blend and a fresh sea bass in a tomato and potato broth. More potatos than we had been having, but it was actually a nice break and everything was great. My partner didn't want dessert, so I had their baba which was so good. The woman that runs the restaurant was very nice, and even though we don't speak much Italian and she doesn't speak much English we made it all work. And they didn't play any music, just let us listen to the lovely sound of the ocean in the night.

05/06/2025: Following the Routard's recommendation, we went to La Tinaia. We didn't wait to get a seat at the time we arrived, around 7 p.m. 😅 with the English tourists. We ordered limoncello spritzes, not bad but strong if you haven't eaten anything beforehand 🫣 We ordered pasta alla vongole and pasta alla lemona. The lemon pasta was very good, however, the pasta alla vongole didn't live up to the others we'd tried on the island. It tasted like pasta with a little oil and mussels. For dessert, we had a lemon delight, which you wouldn't get up to eat at night. We felt like it was a factory; the waiters were quick to clear away, but we hadn't even said thank you before they left.

07/12/2024: conosco il ristorante veliero da molti anni dove ho organizzato feste o sono stata lì per cena o eventi vari. non potendomi recare lì ho ordinato d’asporto qualche pizza e i fritti. in quest’ultimi ,in particolar modo, nel crocchè ho trovato un pezzo di plastica che stavo per ingerire, ma fortunatamente mi sono resa conto in tempo di avere qualcosa di strano in bocca , inoltre ho riscontrato problemi anche con l’arancino che mi è arrivato secco e bruciato all’interno. sono veramente molto delusa,spero che non ricapiti mai più una cosa del genere a nessuno!!! non ordinerò mai più!!!

From the moment you park your car/scooter or arrive to the area where La Ruota is located, it feels like a different and more authentic place on the island, full of locals enjoying the last rays of sun, families and older people chatting casually on the street. The food - fantastic! We had to have another portion of the fried anchovies (alici) - they were divine! Generous portions full of flavor and taste, overall, this place is underrated and deserves the best review. Great service too - always ready with a smile and a joke! A
