02/05/2026: What a lovely restaurant with amazing food, great service and a gorgeous setting. Run by the family who own the vineyard and farm this place was such a find. Their own wine was totally incredible, the menu is made up based on what is abundant on the farm and the owner and staff are clearly proud of what they serve up. Would totally recommend without a seconds hesitation... Run don't walk.

25/07/2026: Unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant experience. We ordered an appetizer, a first course, and a bottle of wine from Mrs. Anna. She forgot the bottle, and we had to ask another waiter for it after 10 minutes. The appetizer arrived twice, the wrong one, and on the third occasion, Mrs. Anna came over to rudely explain that we had ordered that one. I explained that wasn't the case, but she insisted I was remembering incorrectly. In the end, to avoid a fight in the middle of the restaurant, I kept the appetizer she wanted, a mixed seafood appetizer with smoked salmon (I imagine locally sourced...), rubbery octopus, shrimp, and fried anchovies—perhaps the octopus was a local product, but it was still very poorly cooked. Now, aside from the 1980s-style appetizer with a mishmash of ingredients, it's shameful that a restaurateur would dare use such a tone and, rather than admit her mistake, insist on convincing me that I was wrong. Even if that were the case (and it isn't), you can cash in and bring me the appetizer I wanted—the customer is always right. Aside from the incident, the location is beautiful, on the seafront overlooking a quiet beach with a beautiful sunset view. The prices are outrageous, especially considering the menu includes so many frozen products and only fresh mussels and clams—there are no fresh fish options for the main course, which is a bit embarrassing for a restaurant overlooking the sea. The appetizer was inadequate, as mentioned above, and served in such a large portion that it left us hungry for the main course. I wouldn't recommend it.

08/07/2026: You're practically eating by the sea... The staff is always friendly (Antonio, Alfonso, and Crescenzo). May I recommend a first course? Linguine with calamari, green chili peppers, and cherry tomatoes. A delight for the palate. Absolutely not to be missed.

28/06/2026: Sandwich shop is underplaying this on so many levels, it's amazing. I've paid 3x as much for no where near the quality of food. You have options, my photo doesn't do this any service as I had to stop and eat as I couldn't get a table so top tip, and it sounds weird, reserve or order ahead. This is the only reason I gave it 4 for service and atmosphere because I had to wait a while and I ate on a park bench, but this is a five, the rest is on me. The staff were lovely, my Italian is pretty terrible but their English was better so we got through it. There is a wide range of pre formatted food you can have but I wanted something not too filling. Ordered soft roll which was amazing with rotisserie chicken strips, salad and a couple of sauces. £8, burger and lobster in London would charge at least 3x that (no offence love that too) Come to Glasgow, please ❤️

20/07/2026: Bella Napoli Restaurant in Forio is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants on the island of Ischia. For over 13 years, I've been returning to eat here every time I'm on the island, and it's always a guarantee. My favorite dish is the Mosaico Mare: a true specialty, prepared with the freshest fish and the highest-quality ingredients. Each course is meticulously crafted and showcases the flavors of the sea to the fullest. A special thanks goes to Leo and his wife, exceptional people who welcome each customer with kindness, professionalism, and a passion for their work. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and you always feel welcome. If you're looking for a restaurant where you can enjoy excellent fresh fish and have a wonderful culinary experience in Forio, Bella Napoli is a must-see. I highly recommend it!

25/07/2026: We were recommended this place by our hosts in this beautiful, quiet part of Ischia. First of all the setting: wow, it couldn't be any more picturesque and the panoramic windows are perfect to enjoy a meal and conversation in such an incredible, unspoilt environment. Secondly, the food was very good. We started with the brochetta di pomodoro, which was the most delicious and generous serving of this dish we've ever encountered by a country mile. Next, things started to go downhill. Several groups around us were blasting annoying beeps, dings, crashes and screams from their phones non-stop as if they were in their own homes. So, as our ONE HOUR wait for our main courses dragged on, it became increasingly difficult to appreciate the setting and food (due to its non-existence) now that toxic and completely unnecessary phone noise enveloped us. We were on holiday, so the wait wasn't our biggest gripe, but the experience had totally lost its charm by now. After learning there'd be another delay for our main courses, I decided if we were going to stay even longer, I'd ask a waiter to speak to one particularly antisocial group about the unnecessary, intrusive digital noise. He pretended to sympathise and then did nothing about it. A man at a nearby table defended it as "cultural" (no prizes for guessing he and his companion were also TikTok scrolling with the sound on less than one metre from us). Thank you, sir, I didn't know TikTok, Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. Invading every single one of our public experiences are somehow Italian "culture". Consider me educated! The main courses were, in the end, good. The seafood pasta was tasty if not a little too oily and the carbonara was decent, though a little bland. The four-star rating is mainly for the brochetta.

23/07/2026: We dined at this restaurant as we were staying at a nearby hotel (they even offered us free parking during our stay). Excellent experience on both occasions: the quality and especially the quantity of the first courses were remarkable. Friendly and welcoming service, especially Vincenzo, who was always available, especially with our dog Braian 🐕. Unique view overlooking nearby Sant'Angelo. Option to eat outside in a very romantic garden 💖. Excellent prices compared to the island average. Located just a few meters from Sorgente Bay. We will definitely be back.

01/06/2026: We visited the restaurant twice. The service was perfect, the food fantastic, and the selection excellent. It was the best meal we've had in Italy in recent years. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy fine Italian cuisine. Reservations are strongly advised!
