Campsite at the foot of Capo Vaticano, located at the end of the beach known as Tono, and this stretch in particular, Tonicello. The location is such that the beach—free, beautiful, wide, and sandy all the way to the shore (after which there are rocks or pebbles)—is practically for the exclusive use of the campsite, as there are no other accesses closer. The campsite is right on the edge of the beach, and the front-row pitches are literally a stone's throw away. The view of the horizon is extraordinary, especially at sunset when the sun sets alongside Stromboli, creating a unique panorama with the volcano and its ever-present plume of smoke. Salina, another Aeolian island, is also sometimes visible. The structure is dated, especially in terms of spatial design. The pitches are all adjacent to each other, shaded by awnings held up by wooden poles that also mark the boundaries between them. Furthermore, the size would not allow for the placement of campers longer than 6/6.5 meters, except in a small section of the campsite. In the low season, however, given the availability of free spaces, trespassing is widely tolerated. The facilities are dated, but unlike other reviewers, I've always found them efficient and clean, and above all, adequate in number for the facility's capacity, although the shower token issue is always a bit of a hassle. It's far from the town centers, so a scooter or bicycle is highly recommended, especially an electric one given the steep slopes. The pizzeria is excellent, and the Market bar is also available. In conclusion, I consider this campsite to be blessed with a spectacular setting, offering absolute tranquility and relaxation, allowing you to fall asleep to the sound of the sea—all of which overshadow the logistical aspects mentioned above.

I can only review the campsite itself. The location was fantastic for us. We have a canoe and can easily paddle to the coves of Capo Vaticano. The campsite is rather old and offers little natural shade. However, the pitches are shaded by awnings. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. A highlight is the abundance of showers located between the beach and the campsite, perfect for rinsing off after swimming. The mini-market is very small and only stocks the essentials. Bread can be ordered for the next day. Hot showers are available for a fee, but cold water is always available. The pitches are rather small, especially those in the first row.

I don't usually write reviews, but these guys deserve it. We were in this area for the first time. The sea is stunning, with pitches right on the sea (priceless). It's a campsite (I don't understand reviews from people expecting a Polynesian village) at a campsite price. The bathrooms were always clean (by the way, when you use the bathrooms, it's your responsibility to leave them clean; a shower is available for rinsing). The staff were very courteous and always available. Fatima assisted us on the tour of the islands and with suggestions for visiting the local places. She was helpful and very kind. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the service you provide. Keep up the good work.

Perfect camping location with the best beach just around Capo Vaticano, very polite&friendly staff and great pizza. I didn’t want to leave.

Be careful when coming to this campsite with a caravan. It is extremely steep; you will get down but not back up.

The campsite is located on a beautiful beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I ate twice at the campsite restaurant; the food was excellent, and the waitress, Ida, was top-notch – 5 stars!! The sanitary facilities could use some renovation. Thank you for 3 wonderful days – Giacomo

Super campsite right on the sea. Easily accessible by campervan, only the last stretch is a bit steep. Very friendly staff. You can rent canoes, pedal boats, and beach chairs, and even arrange a shuttle to Tropea. Pitches are covered with sunshades, on sand/grass/pebbles, right on the beach. The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles with rounded stones, quiet and secluded. Canoeing around the cape is fantastic. Beautiful beach with a rocky backdrop. The sanitary facilities are okay. No toilet seat, no toilet paper, but clean. Plenty of sinks with only cold water. Water and waste disposal facilities and electricity are available. Highly recommended.

Excellent location. Normal amenities with hot water that wasn't always super hot. The worst thing was the initial disorganization. They put us on a pitch and the next day told us we had to move because they had to put down some tarps. This was truly unacceptable, considering we wasted half the morning moving. At checkout, the lady kindly tried to make up for it by giving us some goodies. We appreciated it, but I think it was really unfair to us to move us.
