16/08/2024: Beautiful place, I only went for dinner, but if the rooms are equivalent to dinner, they will be super comfortable. Very good farmhouse dinner from start to finish and plentiful, all typical cuisine, from the starter to the bitters. In love with the Teramo style guitar, I've been coming here for the second year and I'm waiting for the third!

11/08/2024: Abbiamo pranzato da Marco's oggi, al termine del nostro soggiorno a Pineto e utilizzando anche il servizio spiaggia. Personale gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Oggi abbiamo deciso di pranzare ed è stato davvero meraviglioso. Pietanze ottime, dalle insalate, alla frittura di calamari, al sautè di cozze che ci è stato offerto! Personale gentilissimo e qualità dei pasti ottima. Lo consiglio vivamente!

22/08/2024: Mhhhh premetto che sono stata anni fa e quindi siamo ritornati quest'anno ma a malincuore devo dire che mi sono trovata male intanto per tutta la cena aveamo tuttiiii l'invasione delle zanzare e loro ???non Hanno niente per questo problema....autan spray ....zampironi ....niente insomma ....anzi
Se chiedi qualcosa ti guardano come se chiedessi la luna ....io penso che se hai un locale di questo genere devi avere anche questi piccoli ma importanti accorgimenti Poi ci ci viene servito l'antipasto

Davvero assurdo perché di sughi si ha un'infinità varietà .....

Mi spiace ma se si ha un locale si deve gestire bene e pensare a tutto !!!!!!ma soprattutto a fare felice chi viene lì ...mangia e ti paga

29/07/2024: Greeted by Chef Allesandro & manager Melissa we knew we were about to enjoy an evening of Abruzze` culinary excellence & charm. And so we did. A warm humid night, the outdoor tables were set with a sunset view of the gardens. Our chief waiter asked for Chef’s assistance with our "anglaise" ordering. Our starter of "chef’s fancy" contained select arancini, perfectly breaded & fried codfish, mozzarella sticks, cheese & a puff potato,served on a board! Next for me, a specially prepared pappardelle of duck ragu. A rich sauce with freshlly made al dente pasta that enhanced the smoky essence of tender duck. A mushroom rissoto with truffles was earthy and paired well with the Sirio Montpulciano from master chef's San Lorenzo vineyard. Wished we could take this home.
I wanted to try the local lamb and was rewarded with grilled rib chops a la Abruzze`. Uniquely different from the garlicy lemon lamb of Greece but tasty in its own right.
Dessert of tiramissu, biscotti, panetta with a special regional liquor, SantElmo, to complete our tour.
Chef A came out from his extremely busy kitchen to make sure everything was to our liking. And we had a quick chat on his training & aspirations. His personal touch of ambiance enhanced our dining experience and convinced us, he is the "real deal." Our successful waltz through Il Retrovo's Abruzze` traditional fare suggests readers should not miss this gem of a restaurant and its marvellous staff. We will surely return..
Btw plenty of parking. The Serne location is near to many Adriatic coast resors & hotels.
Il Retrovo is also an event setting; formal, business or family!

01/08/2024: Unfortunately, we lost an AirTag in a black waterproof case. It was on my dog‘s collar. The location seems to be on the parking lot near Scooby Doo Beach. So if you should find it, please text me. We put it in lost modus.
