However, while the spirit and the setting are striking, the gastronomic offerings failed to exert the same charm. Despite the evident care taken in the preparation, the flavors remained in a comfort zone, perhaps too timid; they lacked that aromatic boost, that interplay of spices and textures you expect from a journey of this kind to truly captivate you. The dishes are adequate, but they fail to match the enchantment of such an evocative location. 14/12/2025: After many years, Shiva remains my go-to Indian restaurant in Milan because the food is always delicious, the prices are affordable, and the set menus are well-designed (I like both the Shiva and vegetarian menus). Not all the ingredients are top-quality (the menu says the chicken is Aia, and the shrimp don't seem particularly fresh either), but so far I haven't found better Indian cuisine in Milan. The staff are always very friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.
