24/01/2024: The pizza is fantastic, as is the tuna salad! In summer there are additional tables in a small side street, very cozy! Fast attentive staff!

05/01/2024: Per quanto riguarda la mattina, hanno una varietà di ogni tipo di dolce, cornetti, krapfen, ciambelle di qualsiasi gusto. Veramente invidiabile e ben presentata. Il punto dolente è l’aperitivo. Noi che comunque lo frequentiamo assiduamente da un po’, avevamo notato che con l’aperitivo danno dei pezzettini di pizza insieme alle solite arachidi e patatine. Allorché prendiamo il nostro aperitivo e non contenti delle pizzette, nè chiediamo altre, però ovviamente pagando un altro giro di aperitivo per evitare di “cadere” nella figura degli scrocconi. E li già le prime facce storte. Facciamo finta di nulla ed ordiniamo un 3º giro richiedendo cortesemente delle pizzette (ricordo che ogni volta paghiamo il giro). Al che ci viene detto con “sarcasmo” ma venite qui a mangiare? Il signore al bancone non ricorda forse che ogni cosa che chiediamo, paghiamo le 9 € del giro proprio per non far figure. Al che dice: vi faccio fare una focaccia della casa. (Non dicendoci gli ingredienti) che non ho mangiato perché c’era salmone mi pare. Insomma paghiamo l’ennesimo giro più 13 € di focaccia per essere trattati come “scrocconi” i quali non siamo. Comunque il locale è veramente bello, ma almeno la sera non ci vedrà più. Per il resto, locale elegante, ben frequentato, piacevolmente arredato.

15/10/2023: Wir sind durch Opicina gebummelt, um den dortigen kleinen Antikmarkt (jeden 3. Donnerstag im Monat) zu besuchen. Wir kamen am Caffe Vatta vorbei. Die Aussenterasse war sehr gut besetzt. Wir gingen rein und schauten uns alles an. Auch dort sassen Gäste. Ein sehr hübsches Kaffeehaus mit leckeren hausgebackenen Spezialitäten. Wir bekamen einen Tisch auf der Terrasse. Eine sehr freundliches Bedienung kam, um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. Wir nahmen 1 Espresso, 1 Latte Macchiato und ein Brioche mit Zabaglione gefüllt. Alles war sehr schmackhaft. Wir sassen eine Weile dort. Als ich zum Bezahlen reinging, war ich über die günstigen Preise sehr erstaunt. Wer gemütlich und in Ruhe tollen Kaffe etc. trinken und leckeres Gebäck essen möchte, ist im Caffee Vatta an der richtigen Stelle!

21/10/2023: Qui per una centrifuga “veloce”. Un solo cameriere che cerca di accontentare tutti, ma evidentemente sia per questioni dovute al numero dei tavoli, che per modo, non si avvicina nemmeno all’obiettivo. Dopo un’attesa biblica la centrifuga arriva… evidentemente sbagliata. La barista, dell’est, nega l’evidenza, ma poi deve ammettere e si convince a farne un’altra, questa volta corretta. Ad aver letto le recensioni precedenti, solamente dopo, effettivamente non mi sarei nemmeno fermata.

17/12/2023: Food is fine but the service is absolutely terrible. First and foremost they are incredibly slow and you can tell that the locals have a HUGE advantage over anyone else, we ordered 3 tagliata and only 2 came while the waitress told us that the last one is on the way. Third tagliata came but not to us, to the table next to us that seated people who were clearly locals. The waitress came afterwards with an excuse that they dont have enough meat and that the “cow isnt big enough for 3 portions”. Other than that the portions are incredibly small so we couldn’t really share the 2 portions that actually came. Good thing that i wasnt that hungry but nonetheless this type of service is unacceptable imo. Avoid at every cost, the food is not worth the terrible service.
