21/06/2025: I tried the lunch menu, for 12 euros they bring you the dish of the day (in my case tortelloni with truffle), a salad (alternatively you can also choose dessert), water and coffee. All the food is delicious, and in my opinion for that price it is an excellent offer. Highly recommended

When we come to Porretta we always go back. In addition to the tartare, there are hamburger sandwiches that look really fabulous. Kind and super easy-going owners. That's the way to do it!!

04/06/2025: My husband and I just spent the weekend at the Helvetia Hotel in Porretta Terme (31/05-01/06). The hotel is well-kept and elegant, as are the rooms, large and with attention to detail. Excellent cleaning. Friendly and helpful staff.
The icing on the cake is the beautiful SPA, created from caves in an air raid shelter; a very suggestive environment, with soft lighting and background music, which makes everything romantic and relaxing.... open until 11:00 pm... the kit is available in the room, with: bathrobe, towel, slippers and cap.
I can't wait to go back....
I RECOMMEND IT....

18/05/2025: We arrived very late and despite this they welcomed us with courtesy and we felt at home! The guys are very good, helpful and welcoming. The zampanelle are the best, it's been a long time since I found them so perfect. The dessert, mascarpone made by them, is a must try.

22/06/2025: Generous portions, excellent quality of food, fresh fruit and preparations with fruit, genuine traditional desserts. Tried several times, both lunch and dinner and even if very busy they find a way to accommodate everyone in a short time.
Great courtesy and friendliness of the owners.
Vintage atmosphere, simple but welcoming. To return!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience left such a sour taste that I couldn't stay silent. From the moment we were seated, our waiter made it painfully obvious he’d rather be anywhere else but doing his job. No greeting, no smile—just a grunted “what do you want” as if we’d interrupted his evening nap. Every question we asked about the menu was met with eye rolls or shrugged indifference, and it felt like a personal favor whenever he bothered to bring anything to the table.
If your goal is to feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer, this is the place for you. It’s not just bad service—it’s the kind of contempt that makes you wonder if you’ve walked into someone’s living room uninvited instead of a paying establishment. I don’t expect a Broadway performance, but basic courtesy shouldn't be too much to ask

Quick and accurate service, excellent pizza and rosemary focaccia, as well as the fillet with mushrooms. sweet trifle!! Also recommended for a short stop in Porretta Terme as for us. A walk through this village in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines is worth after dinner.
24/03/2025: This place really deserves a lot, even though they have an infinite number of courses, whatever you take you won't go wrong, excellent service and the place is very nice, I definitely recommend it.

12/08/2024: Stavo cercando un ristorante aperto di lunedì la settimana di ferragosto....ero disperata. Poi ho trovato qs ristorante.
Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, ma soprattutto ci hanno aspettato oltre la chiusura della cucina! Eravamo in ritardo a causa di un trekking più lu go del previsto!

Prezzi e porzioni oneste. Tutto fatto in casa.
Ci voglio tornare per provare la carne...

14/03/2025: Ho avuto occasione di provare più volte la cucina dello chef Franco negli anni, ma nella cena dell'8 marzo scorso, mi ha davvero stupita per originalità e ricercatezza! Preceduto da un'accoglienza come sempre cordiale - e anche floreale per l'occasione, il che mi ha fatto piacere! -, il menù proposto per la serata ha visto sfilare piatti a base di prodotti vegetali del territorio, colorati, divertenti, fantasiosi e gustosissimi: deliziose polpette di patate e spinaci con una maionese alla rapa rossa, un risotto al delicatissimo zafferano locale ravvivato dall'accostamento con carciofi saltati e dal contrasto della polvere di caffè, una pasta fresca alla farina di castagne condita con noci e un formaggio locale a latte crudo profumatissimo, una polposa bistecca...di cavolfiore e, per finire, un dessert letteralmente sovversivo: spaghetti al cacao con la crema inglese! Pavidi astenetevi! Le materie prime del territorio, trattate senza elaborazioni eccessive e accostate in modo creativo, hanno reso la cena memorabile e gradevolissima! Ogni piatto è stato servito con un sorriso e puntualmente. Sarà stato anche merito della buona compagnia, ma complimenti allo chef e allo staff! Tornerò presto.
