15/12/2024: Se non andiamo da Accursio almeno ogni anno ci manca qualcosa. Per fortuna da anni non è successo. È sempre un'esperienza sorprendente e intimamente coinvolgente. Infatti tra di noi durante il pasto non commentiamo con parole ma solo con sguardi eloquenti. La raffinata semplicità del locale e la ricercata semplicità del menù si sposano bene con la genuina cortesia delle persone (non del personale) che si prendono cura di noi. Speriamo di ritornare presto.
16/11/2024: Accursio means feeling at home, enjoying simple recipes, but of great quality and craftsmanship, presented with elegance.
The choice of furnishings, colours, mise en place are details that few are able to express, and doing so with authenticity is the courage of a few.
“At Accursio's house”, as I would call it, you breathe real air, of flavours, of wines selected under the guidance of a young and knowledgeable sommelier, but also Milena the girl who takes care of the reception and Duel who also he has worked alongside the chef for years.
Sharing this experience with a friend was a unique and rare gift, I would do it again.
Thank you for these emotions.

23/01/2025: A classic local trattoria with fresh made pasta and local Sicilian dishes. 10 of 10 in my opinion, and I have lived in Sicily for over five years.

19/01/2025: Stupendous dishes. The lolli with broad beans are a fairy tale. The meat is tasty, everything is good. Compliments to the ladies. All the staff are very kind. I recommend everyone to go there. The food is good. The only flaw is the bill: the fixed menu 16 Euros then add wine. Sweet water Yes. It comes to almost 30 Euros per person. It would be better to say 30 Euros all inclusive.

07/02/2025: I came to this restaurant because I saw Mr. Roberto in the episode of 4 restaurants and I decided to try his cuisine. I come to Sicily every year and I stopped by Modica, a very nice and welcoming place, we ate very well and enjoyed typical local dishes, the very kind and helpful waiter entertained us for the whole evening. The only thing I was sad to see was Mr. Roberto saddened by not having won 4 restaurants. 🤨 Otherwise ok 👌
29/12/2024: Christmas lunch with fixed seafood menu.
Given that, once we arrived at the restaurant we noticed our table and realized that we were really cramped and we couldn't even move freely.
Passable appetizers with sufficiency (despite the inedible prawn cocktail and the couscous which was without fish)
The first courses were inedible (one of the two dishes was completely raw and the sauce was acidic)
Among the fish main courses, the stuffed squid was absolutely not up my alley, rubbery and had a bad smell
The only positive note was the dessert, good and plentiful.

20/10/2024: Very nice and well-kept place located in upper Modica. Sicilian cuisine revisited in a modern key. The wine cellar is interesting. Very attentive and friendly service. Advised.

Booked in the hope of experiencing a true Sicilian evening meal, far from the tourist traps, instead the main area housed a rowdy group of tourists more adapt to a drive-in.
The aloof table-side 'lectures' in Sicilian cuisine are followed by weight-watchers portions, and lots of bread and a drop of olive oil.
Waited 20 minutes for the desert which never arrived, we abandoned waiting and left paying a hefty tag.
Lots of smoke and mirrors I'm afraid.
Parking is a nightmare so, if you ignore my negative rating, leave an hour to find a gap somewhere for your car and expect a healthy walk to and from the restaurant with a lighter wallet however.
My few stars are warranted by the laughs in reading the disgruntled customers' comments which I suggest you read one by one, even if written years ago.
