30/05/2025: For me one of the best all you can eat in the area. The dishes offered are much more carefully prepared than other Chinese chains in the area. The raw materials used are sought after for their quality. The staff is always ready and available to customers.

09/06/2025: The wok chef in this restaurant is really awesome. He is a tempura master! The tempura shrimp is tender, crispy and not greasy at all. It is the best tempura shrimp I have ever eaten. The stir-fry is a bit greasy and salty. The sashimi is also very fresh and the sushi dishes are also diverse. The price is favorable and the environment is clean and comfortable.

The boss also came to chat with us. She is very kind. If you can't go out, you can order takeaway and we will deliver it to your home. It's very fast. I like to eat only in this sushi restaurant.🔥🔥

07/05/2025: I was staying in this neighborhood and was absolutely hungry. All the Italian places were not open, or kitchens were yet to open, I couldn't wait that much and had to find anything that was open and in walking
distance. I found this place and truth be told I had zero expectations, didn't read any reviews or anything before, just went in and ordered a bunch of stuff. Everything turned out to be very tasty, I especially enjoyed the gyoza. I do recommend this place if you are looking for an Asian restaurant in Lucca.

06/06/2025: I have already been to this place several times and for me it is the best in the Lucca-Capannori area. First of all, the interiors where the green color prevails already convey a sense of great calm and the atmosphere is welcoming, you feel at home. The quality of the food (the photos speak for themselves) is excellent and the staff is made up of a few people who, however, take great care of every detail; this can sometimes cause a little slowness in the service but when the dishes arrive you understand that it is really worth it. If you want to eat well and spend a relaxed dinner or lunch in an intimate atmosphere I highly recommend it!
02/06/2025: For those who have visited many sushi restaurants in the area, you will surely notice the superiority of this sushi. Excellent quality that is not at all a given in today's all you can eat. Good fish and very well-prepared dishes. Lower price than average, especially at dinner. I would say uramaki is the strong point, but everything else is no less.
The only criticism I make is about the soy, I found it too salty and with a strange flavor and I really hope they can change this, but for the rest everything was perfect. I have only been once but I will return, also given the kindness of the staff.

28/05/2025: This place was recommended to me by two people and I was very disappointed, the quality of the fish was poor: we found a bone in the salmon sashimi, a small bone in the meat ravioli, the fried food was whitish, the wakame tasted like earth and the spring rolls only had carrots. Absolutely not to be repeated.

13/06/2025: We arrived at Maki Maki at 11:30 PM, convinced we were going to have a great night, but it was a real disaster. After half an hour of being inside, no one had even bothered to bring us drinks. The guest of the evening arrived after 2 AM, an endless wait without any explanation or respect for those who had been there for hours.
The icing on the cake? When I dared to complain — quite legitimately — about the fact that it was already 2:15 AM and still no one had shown up, a gentleman (I don't know what role he had, but he was behind the console) thought it best to answer me... by pushing me. A total lack of respect, professionalism and safety.
Not only did they not even let us leave in the meantime, but the treatment was truly unacceptable. Overrated place, terrible organization and aggressive staff.
I will never return and I advise anyone not to set foot there.
08/06/2025: We were a group of eight guys on a mission to throw a bachelor party to remember. Despite numerous warnings from locals — who recommended more elegant and relaxed environments in the Viareggio dock — we decided to challenge fate and cross the threshold of the infamous Maki Maki.
As soon as we entered, we found ourselves catapulted into what seemed like a summer camp for teenagers: the average age at first glance lower than the right to vote in Italy. The service was a bit poor. The table was dirty when we arrived and the waiters were practically absent.
And yet, between a kid looking for cigarettes and a few shaky drinks, the evening began to pick up pace. Good commercial music, surprisingly engaging entertainment girls, and the price was all in all fair for a nightclub in this area. A positive note to the very kind guy who served us a hookah at the table with a smile on his lips, saving the honor of the service.
In short, Maki Maki is an experience that is somewhere between memories of teenage vacations and unexpected fun. Not for everyone, but if you're looking for music and a touch of the absurd, with the right mix of tequila shots, you might even come away satisfied.
