06/06/2025: Weer heerlijk genoten van het 'chef menu's van Chef Vincenzo Cucolo in restaurant Aquadulcis in Valle della Lucania, wat een feest. Met behoud van smaak weet hij je telkens weer te verrassen met gerechten bijna te mooi opgemaakt om op te eten. Hoewel het restaurant al enkele jaren een vermelding in de Michelingids heeft is voor ons is iedere gang is een Michelin ster waard.
De wijnen zorgvuldig uitgezocht door sommelier Francesco zijn een smaakvolle aanvulling op de gerechten.

18/08/2025: This is our second time eating here.
As I reiterated to the waiter last week, their beans with sauce (among the appetizers) are phenomenal. It's one of the few places where even a simple dish like beans is transformed into something truly delicious and flavorful.
Their fusilli alla cilentana and ziti alla genovese are also excellent.
For dessert, the wonderful cannoli cilentana are a must.
I'd like to thank the restaurant staff for their dedication and the quality of their products.
Well done, guys.

29/04/2025: We happened to be in Vallo for surgery and we chose to have lunch at the Il Sinodo restaurant. Excellent restaurant, with typical cuisine. We were amazed.
We ate very well. Very kind staff.
Definitely recommended.

22/06/2025: It was clear right away that the pizza was good...Before giving a positive judgment I waited to "sleep on it": too many times you wake up in the middle of the night with a great thirst. Which did not happen and therefore I can summarize the judgment in a great pizza, "good and healthy"!

21/03/2025: I happened upon it by chance on one of my trips, just to get a coffee. While I was drinking my drink I noticed out of the corner of my eye a tray kept on the back shelf of the display, inside some products with a singular shape, halfway between a croissant and a panzerotto. Intrigued, I asked what they were: calzones with escarole. I took one to take away while the kind barmaid described the filling to me. I paid and left.
Continuing my journey I then decided to eat it.
The dough was soft and fragrant, very well leavened, but when I bit into the filling, my eyes popped open... I HAVE IN MY HANDS ONE OF THE MOST TASTY THINGS I HAVE EVER EATEN! The flavor of the escarole, probably sautéed in a pan with onion, enhanced by an abundance of capers, anchovies and Taggiasca olives sent my taste buds haywire. An incredible delight. With every bite I hoped that the next one would be at least as good as the previous one, until the last bite when the tip of that strange croissant was pleasantly crunchy.
Only after eating it did I imagine why they kept the tray in the back of the display: it was to protect that treasure chest of wonders!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
A note also for the place: familiar and comfortable, very clean toilets.

19/03/2025: 3 persone, siamo entrati e dopo 10 minuti, con circa una decina di persone all’interno, dopo aver ripetutamente richiamato le cameriere per il servizio, siamo stati ignorati e costretti ad andarcene a mani vuote per entrare in orario scolastico.

19/08/2025: I went at 7:20 PM (the designated time for aperitifs), and when I asked for an aperitif for 6, a waitress rudely told me she wasn't available because the room was busy (in fact, only three tables were occupied, and the rest of the room was empty and set for dinner, which is after 8 PM).
I usually eat well, but this year the service was rude.

19/08/2025: I stumbled upon this place by chance and was pleasantly surprised. I had a truly excellent smashed burger and a perfectly prepared fried chicken sandwich. The appetizers and beers were also quality. The service was attentive and friendly. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back.
08/08/2025: Excellent Italian pub, spacious and welcoming, serving well-presented, quality dishes. Reasonable prices. Perfect for a quiet evening with friends. A good alternative to the usual crowded and chaotic pizzerias along the coast; well worth the 20-minute drive.

29/07/2023: Pizzeria caratteristica,sita alla periferia di Vallo della Lucania, dotata di un piccolo parcheggio e con giardino che offre la possibilità di consumare fuori. Servizio poco professionale, pizze nella media ma dai costi elevati, le materie prime utilizzate non sono quelle descritte nel menu. Riproverò ? ....
23/07/2023: Mancanza di posti auto per disabili, scarsissimo il parcheggio come scarsissimo il servizio...sono andato con famiglia e amici per una serata spensierata invece è stata una serata di fuoco, PERSONALE SCOSTUMATO AL MASSIMO, servizio posate e coperto zero in assoluto, antipasto solo a base di trecce, pizze bruciate e piccantissime, manco i porci vengono serviti in questo modo...NON CI METTERÒ MAI PIÙ PIEDE.

14/01/2025: Era un posto eccezionale prima che cambiasse gestione. I nuovi proprietari non sono all'altezza. Infatti l nuova gestione si chiama Stratto.. Niente a che vedere con la vecchia Pizzeria ZERO.. La pizza non è un gran che... Anche il servizio lascia a desiderare.. Abbiamo ordinato due pizze.. Una era calda e l'altra era fredda.. Forse chi doveva riceverla l'ha rifiutata o non si è presentato e l'hanno mollata s noi.. Poi, ti stanno col fiato sul collo per vedere se hai consumato.. Comunque i prezzi sono ECCESSIVI
CON LA GESTIONE ZERO.. Era tutta un'altra cosa.. Credo che non faranno molta strada...
09/09/2024: Prodotti di ottima qualità, con ingredienti di livello: la pizza fritta cilentana è buonissima, come la salsa di pomodoro e il cacio utilizzati! Il calzone fritto è finalmente quella “bomba atomica che tutti si aspettano”, ma anche le pizze normali sono molto buone, in stile napoletano, croccanti fuori, molto elastiche, dignitosamente condite con ingredienti eccellenti. I prezzi non saranno il massimo dell’economicità, ma siamo al di sotto di altre catene o locali commerciali che popolano la zona (che a mio avviso è molto cara), inoltre la qualità è davvero buona. L’affaccio è su un'oasi pedonale come se ne vedono molto difficilmente da queste parti, con un'ottima piazzetta x far ‘sfogare’ i bambini mentre attendete o vi trattenete in chiacchiere coi commensali.
