30/01/2026: Lunch experience on January 29, 2026: Like many tourists, I imagine, we were just passing through the town of Massa Lubrense. Feeling hungry and needing a lunch break, we found this restaurant. At first, we thought it was closed. But no! Although there were no other customers inside, a man greeted us with a smile as soon as we walked in and seated us at a table. It felt strange to be the only customers in what was, after all, a fairly large restaurant. But we're starting to get used to seeing empty places in Campania during the winter. Besides, I imagine they're trying to save a bit on heating costs, because it was a little chilly in the restaurant. But once we got over our initial reservations, we have to admit we had a really great meal! The cheese and tomato appetizer was not only excellent, but also a generous portion, and our gnocchi in tomato sauce was a pure delight and a good size too! Thank you for this lovely lunch break! 12/08/2025: Great surroundings, very friendly staff, and excellent food. We stayed in the attached hotel and ate there every evening. There was no reason to eat anywhere else.

12/10/2025: I came today around 11pm with my partner (being Saturday it closes at 2am) I found myself on a hill full of potholes and I found the place closed, without any notice on social media or outside, nor a light or anything, I followed the instructions of the navigator, I drove 28 minutes for nothing, I tried to call but it said that the number was not available, the messages on WhatsApp only loaded a bar, bitterly disappointed

28/09/2025: Very friendly staff! The atmosphere is good, but we felt they're more focused on cocktails and beer. Still, the glass of wine was good, and €5 per glass is reasonable for the quality and quantity.

08/07/2025: Friendly welcome. Quick order. The fritto misto was unfortunately too greasy and some of the fish was a bit gummy. The maccheroni al ragù napoletano (pasta with tomato sauce and sausage) was excellent. Ideal location for visiting the ruins of Ercolano. Fair prices. Difficult to park nearby. Luckily we were on foot.

21/12/2025: Terrible experience. The location is run-down, the atmosphere is gloomy, and the cleanliness is extremely poor: from the bathrooms to the table service. There was a visible layer of dust under the placemats, a sign of total neglect. The decor is dated and outdated, lacking any charm. The food was disappointing: the dishes were excessively greasy and of poor quality. The bill also seemed unjustified for the quality, with prices significantly overpriced. Chaos and disorder reigned supreme. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant; there are many others that are truly worth it.

16/10/2025: There are places between the volcano and the sea... between fire and water where time seems suspended and it is in suspended time that we often "refresh" ourselves... Antico Ricupo is a place where, among food, good wine, professionalism and friendliness, you can spend a day far away and "suspended" from the hectic routine of everyday life... Ad Majora!

21/12/2025: I have to say this is probably the first spot that I found that the sandwich was perfect. They were out of stake, but they had pork and let me tell you that was a good sandwich, delicious. This place is definitely recommended.

26/11/2025: Went there with my family in 2022. We stopped for a pizza, and found this place. Staff was wonderful, fresh cheese delivery just came. Simple design (I don't mind it), best pizza I ever had. Dough was great, thin and airy, so flavoful. Perfect charr. Amazing fiori di latte, probably artisinal. Family style place!

07/11/2025: The staff was very friendly. However, the pizza was the worst I've ever eaten. The crust was partly burnt, yet still soft, and the toppings in the middle were swimming in liquid, which wasn't oil. Never again!!!

03/01/2026: In less than a month, we went from 9 to 9.50, and even seemed unhappy with the €10 a sandwich. Great way to lose a regular customer.
