Today, pizzerias, however, have chefs and sensory experiences: refined and refined. Even the water menu, with water sold for €4.50 for 75ml. A Margherita sold for €9 with a meager brushing of tomato sauce and 5g of mozzarella cheese. Go knead the dough! These chefs' menus are a reflection of their gastronomic narcissism. The pizzas have lists of ingredients that read like chapters from a novel. You even pay three euros for the cover charge. The problem isn't wanting to innovate. The problem is when simplicity is confused with pretentiousness. Pizza is one of the greatest popular masterpieces of Italian cuisine and doesn't need to disguise itself as haute cuisine. Mix flour and water, and be humble. Reservations with incredibly long waits, not even for a visit to Cardarelli. 19/07/2026: I discovered this place almost by chance, and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is well-kept, with a rustic, welcoming style that immediately makes you feel at home. We had paccheri with cream cheese, walnuts, and sausage, and a tagliata with arugula, parmesan shavings, and a balsamic vinegar glaze: both dishes were beautifully presented, generous, and, above all, very flavorful. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to the selection of ingredients and to the details. The service was friendly and never intrusive, and the timing was right despite the restaurant being quite busy. The quality/price ratio was also absolutely right. It's one of those places you'll want to return to, whether for a dinner as a couple or with friends. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. Recommended.
