07/09/2025: At this kiosk, we had a brioche with bergamot gelato and fig granita.
The bergamot gelato was amazing!! The flavor was delicate, but you could still taste the bergamot. The fig granita was the fruit!!
During our vacation in Calabria, we tried bergamot gelato several times, and we weren't thrilled because it always had an aftertaste of..."detergent"...
My advice is to try the bergamot gelato from the La Cattolica kiosk, and then tell me... ;)

03/05/2025: Una vera scoperta! Alla Buca del Re si mangia benissimo: piatti gustosi, porzioni generose e ingredienti di qualità. Il titolare è simpaticissimo, ci ha fatto sentire come a casa fin dal primo momento. Siamo andati con un gruppo di amici e siamo rimasti tutti super soddisfatti. Torneremo sicuramente!

Ci ritornerò di sicuro e lo consiglio a chi vuole mangiare bene e tradizionale.

03/10/2025: Simple dishes based on traditional Calabrian cuisine. Simple but delicious, especially thanks to all the fresh ingredients used in the preparation. The owner is very friendly. A great place for a good meal.
30/09/2025: As soon as you enter, you're immediately struck by the beauty of the setting: meticulously crafted, elegant yet welcoming, with a warm and pleasant atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
The staff is extraordinary: always smiling, friendly, and helpful, ready to offer professional advice without ever being intrusive. You feel truly pampered from start to finish.
The pizza is exceptional, made with fresh, quality ingredients, with a light and digestible dough that makes you want to try them all. The other dishes on the menu are also excellent, carefully crafted and beautifully presented.
A perfect place for both a dinner with friends and a special evening. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

30/09/2025: We visited this restaurant on Monday around noon. We were greeted by the staff who immediately attended to us, the gentleman was attentive. He offered specialties that we did not try, unfortunately we were not very hungry. However, the appetizer for 2 people was great, a large selection of local products. It was tasty, sufficient and we enjoyed our time in this restaurant.
20/09/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant and were truly satisfied. The appetizer was excellent and plentiful, with which we sampled several Calabrian specialties, beautifully cooked and presented. The scampi ravioli were also very good.
The young staff was kind and very friendly. A pleasant surprise, like Stilo itself.

08/04/2025: Siamo arrivati in Calabria con la barca a vela e ci hanno suggerito di visitare Stilo. Rocco, il nostro Vate in questa bellissima terra, ci ha fatto da guida e da Cicerone e ha scelto di portarci a mangiare nella trattoria “Gli Antichi Sapori”. Qui siamo stati accolti da Emanuela con professionalità, gentilezza e simpatia. E’ stata la nostra fortunata occasione di gustare gli squisiti piatti tipici del posto preparati in abbondanza.
Non perdetevi questa opportunità anche voi se passate da lì!!!

Antipasto con prodotti tipici locali e genuini e primi piatti che deliziano il palato.
Il tutto servito da personale davvero molto gentile e sempre sorridente.

16/12/2024: Consiglio vivamente una sosta a questo ristorante sulla strada per Stilo. Locale accogliente il titolare è una persona amabile e molto cordiale come tutto il personale di sala. Affidatevi ai consigli di Luigi il titolare e non ve ne pentirete. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo.
05/09/2024: Ci sono tornato proprio oggi con la mia compagna,dopo un' assenza di cinque anni. Ho trovato un vero e proprio ristorante di alto livello, tutto l' ambiente è stato rinnovato,sia all' interno che fuori, con un bel giardino in pietra ed erbetta. Quello che è rimasto però di altissimo livello è la materia prima, si mangia sempre divinamente. Oltretutto abbiamo diversificato l' ordinazione: tutto di terra per me e tutto di mare per la mia compagna... eccellenti entrambi i menù,con porzioni corpose e squisite. Il servizio veloce e preciso di Luigi poi è sempre di grande professionalità. Sono rimasto veramente soddisfatto di tutto e spero di ritornarci quanto prima.

31/08/2024: ¡¿Por qué esperé 2 semanas en mi viaje para probar este helado hecho a mano!! No tengo palabras para expresar el delicioso sabor fresco del gelato Bar Stylos porque es tan bueno y ni siquiera soy un diente dulce.
Luego están los cruasanes frescos.
El alcohol es el mejor estante y el café es una gran manera de terminar después de disfrutar de la decadencia de dulces que tiene este lugar.
Tomé las fotos en una noche de festival cuando todo el mundo estaba fuera de la ciudad, pero no se equivoquen este lugar siempre está ocupado y tiene un ambiente increíblemente amable.
Su ubicación es perfecta y es un gran lugar para pasar una mañana, tarde o noche. El bar abre hasta muy tarde.
El personal es impresionante y servicial.
No te decepcionarás.
