23/08/2025: We ate at Lido degli Scogli, and while the food was good, the service was truly disappointing. They brought us the first course first, followed by the appetizer. The waiter practically forced us to eat the pasta, even though we hadn't received our appetizer yet. When I let him know that we still hadn't received our appetizer, he literally replied, "It's not his job," and left our pasta dishes on the table, doing so in a very stern tone. I asked for lemon four times, which arrived fifteen minutes later, after the fried fish was already cold. It seems like the only thing they care about here is making money, with no interest in quality products or a passion for good food. A truly unsatisfactory experience.

13/09/2025: The appetizer shared by two, with various tastings, was more than sufficient in quantity, but remarkable in quality and preparation. Then came the mixed fried fish (fresh, not frozen) and roasted octopus. The homemade licorice baba was a surprise, ordered out of curiosity, but a good variation on the original. Attentive, attentive, and friendly service. Affordable price.

04/10/2025: A very good restaurant in Le Castella. This fish restaurant also offers options for vegetarians. The place gets very busy at lunchtime, and it gets quite noisy. The service remains friendly, even in the hustle and bustle. The food is served quite quickly.

22/09/2025: Not recommended It's not the real Roman pizza Calzones now made with poor quality ingredients are soft after 15 minutes and the mozzarella is compact.... anyway, it's not mozzarella.....they don't give receipts, EVERYTHING IS IN BLACK It's not the Roman pizza of the 90s and 2000s, now only mentioned I recommend changing pizzerias

The restaurant offers delicious, authentic, and carefully prepared dishes—a real treat! Special thanks to Simone, always available, kind, and friendly, who made our stay even more enjoyable. Comfortable and clean rooms, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the Sila. Highly recommended for both a weekend getaway or a longer vacation immersed in nature!

21/10/2025: I returned to my hometown, Crotone, for a weekend getaway, longing to enjoy good seafood in an authentic setting. After reading several reviews, I chose Piper, and I must say it was a perfect choice. As soon as we entered, Enzo, the host, welcomed us with that typical Crotone warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. The pasta is strictly handmade, and the menu varies depending on the day: a true guarantee of freshness. That day, they offered covatelli, a typical Crotone pasta, masterfully prepared with seafood sauce. A dish worth the visit alone. We started with a mixed seafood appetizer, rich in goodness and authentic flavors. I even tried anchovies, which I don't usually eat, but I really appreciated them there. Of course, we couldn't miss the "vrasciole" Crotonese, classic fried meatballs: both eggplant and meat, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All washed down with an excellent rosé from the Cirò Marina area, a house wine of great quality. We enjoyed it so much that we returned in the evening: my son (15 months) immediately had access to the high chair and felt completely at ease. He again asked for the covatelli, this time with a simple sauce, while my wife and I chose two very fresh sea bass, cooked to perfection: soft, delicate, without excessive salt, a sign of careful and respectful preparation of the fish. For appetizers, this time, we opted for local cheeses and cured meats, which were also excellent. The prices are fair and proportionate to the quality of the products and the generous portions: not too high or too low, just right. Unfortunately, I return to Crotone less and less often, but of one thing I am certain: Piper will be my regular stop every time I return. 15/09/2025: What a disappointment. I've been coming here every year for the past six years to eat raw crab and pasta. I've always asked for it to be cleaned in the kitchen, which has always been done. This year, I was given pasta with sauce and crab on the side, without claws or anything else. I asked for it to be cleaned, and the ashtray brought it back with broken claws, saying it was buckets of junk. Too bad the entire body without claws was inedible. I also pointed this out on the bill, where the replies weren't any better. In short, I won't be coming back. However, I found out from Mimmo later that I'd been snubbing him for years.
