05/08/2026: This isn't my first time returning to this restaurant: I celebrated my birthday there several years ago, and it's become our go-to whenever we want to eat well. This Sunday, we were craving seafood without leaving Rende, and the choice was immediate.
The outdoor setting is truly refined, thoughtfully decorated in shades of white, well-air-conditioned, and pleasantly softly lit.
We started with a seafood appetizer to share, an octopus salad, and vegetables, followed by fried seafood, and finished with a berry cheesecake.
It's impossible to choose a favorite: the freshness of the fish was evident, and the fried fish was impeccable. We received a warm welcome from a very friendly owner and attentive, professional service.
Prices are absolutely average for the quality offered: appetizers around €18, fried fish €15, and dessert €5.

Salvatore and his wife (the chef) delighted us with innovative dishes without neglecting tradition!
The location is charming, beautifully decorated, and cool on these incredibly hot days. They gave us great advice! The shrimp mojito was superb!
We'll be back for the new Aperol sauce and the "boss" sorbet...

As soon as you enter, you'll feel a family atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly, smiling, and helpful. The quality of the products is truly excellent: every dessert is carefully prepared, and you can sense the attention to detail in the choice of ingredients. If I had to recommend just one specialty, I'd definitely say the chocolate chip brioche. Soft, fragrant, and irresistible, it's a true delight you must try at least once... even if you'll be desperate to order it again! Kudos to the entire staff for their passion and dedication in pursuing this excellence. If you're passing through Castrolibero, a stop at La Conca d'Oro isn't just recommended, it's a must. Five well-deserved stars!

21/11/2025: NIGHTMARE DINNER. Unfortunately, I can't give a detailed review because it was truly a nightmare. I walked in and my friends were already at the table. I didn't feel welcome because as soon as I opened the door, I was overwhelmed by the screams of children who were sitting at a table quite isolated and far away from us. Honestly, I wanted to leave because we couldn't talk, but the girls had already had to wait for me because I was getting off work. Ordering was a huge undertaking given the noise, but the lady was fantastic and friendly. The pizza was good and light, but I couldn't finish my meal because the moment we politely asked the kids to keep their voices down, their parents yelled horrible things at us. They called us exhausted and wished the worst on us. None of the staff intervened. We left immediately and paid the full price, no discount, no apology from anyone. Personally, I will never set foot in there again. I thank God for how it went, because it could have been a tragedy given the crowd at that table. The level of delinquency was absolutely beyond belief. This is absolutely not the place for me. It's not for families or people with health problems who want to have a fun evening. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

08/08/2026: I wanted to ask why you replaced the gluten-free pizza with a pizza crust. I thought the handmade one was much better.
I'm also sorry because you were one of the very few places that made gluten-free pizza. 😊
27/07/2026: Maybe it was the time, but the pizzas (arrived at around 10:30) were all burned! A good pizza chef needs to know how to manage a wood-fired oven, and you have to bring it to the right temperature before baking.
Let's hope things go better next time...

1) First of all, there are plenty of ways to respond to a polite, yet positive, review! But after 30 years, you clearly haven't figured this out yet!
2) And I have to tell you the pizzas were burned?! And you don't see them?? Maybe it was convenient for you not to see them, or maybe you just worked in the wrong job...

06/07/2026: The pizzas offered are mostly very rich, with a generous amount of toppings. However, for my personal taste, they sometimes seem too rich, risking overpowering the overall balance of the pizza.
As for the dining experience, the space is small, and, especially on weekends, waits can be quite long. It's a place where you can sense a desire to overflow, but it requires a bit of patience in managing time and space.

30/09/2024: Ogni volta che torno a Cosenza, questa è una tappa fissa. Il motivo è molto semplice: la miglior pizza nel giro di kilometri. E non è certo un caso che nonostante la location non sia situata in centro città, bensì un pò fuori mano e raggiungibile solo in macchina, il locale sia quasi sempre pieno. Gigi in materia di pizza ha fatto scuola e la sua fiordilatte resta sempre goduriosa. Niente (e per fortuna) gourmet. Ricette semplici del territorio. Da qualche tempo si è specializzato anche sulla cucina a base di pesce che non ho ancora avuto il piacere di provare.
11/07/2024: Locale molto carino, fresco in una sera d’estate bollente. Personale accogliente e gioviale. Cibo buonissimo sia gli antipasti, le pizze e il pesce.

16/07/2026: I rarely get there, and I'm sorry about that. The young lady always has a smile for you, while the gentleman doesn't offer many smiles. The atmosphere is very nice and bright. The breakfast is very good.
28/05/2026: I stopped by chance for a good breakfast and, won over by the atmosphere, returned for lunch. The welcome was warm, made even more pleasant by the lovely smile of the lady who served me. A truly pleasant experience: I will definitely return.

07/06/2025: If you need pastries, baked goods, a good pizza, or excellent first or second courses, I recommend stopping by this spotlessly clean establishment, run by friendly and knowledgeable staff. The place is located in a plaza with easy parking.
