26/10/2025: Our culinary experience at da Gianni was exceptional...the fish based dishes kept on coming ,one more delicious and appetizing than the previous one. No way you can choose one more favourite than the other. Cristian, a most precious and knowledgeable host, courteous and well mannered. The food and the jarred products he prepares are a testament to his culinary passion and his love for wholesome "good - for - you" food. Thank you Cristian, Gianni and ristorante staff.

A Taverna intru u vicu Restaurant

22/08/2025: On our way back from Paola, we decided to try this restaurant in the ancient village of Belmonte. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We took the chef up on a suggestion, and he prepared an excellent pacchero with amberjack. The price was perhaps a little steep...but you pay for quality food.
18/08/2025: I dined at Taverna Intru u Vicu with a group of friends. Let me start by saying that the location is stunning: both the terrace and the alleyway will surely provide guests with an unforgettable experience. The service was kind and friendly, without being intrusive, and the owner and waiter made us feel at home. The house wine, served during dinner, was also excellent. As for the menu, the owner's innovation was much appreciated. No dish was banal, and the flavors were well-balanced. The tuna on tomato steak and the pickled tuna (€16-18) are definitely worth trying as appetizers. I personally ordered the mixed fried fish (€22), which was good, fresh, and crispy, but perhaps a bit small for a main course.
In conclusion, absolutely recommended for those looking for an unconventional dinner in an excellent location. For eight of us, with four appetizers, eight courses, wine, drinks, and two shared desserts, we spent about €50 each.

18/10/2025: Fantastic sandwiches, delicious and very filling. I highly recommend trying them and spending a lovely evening with friends, family, or a partner.

24/08/2025: My family and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. The pizza was truly delicious, and the Pan Pizza was sublime. Impeccable service and a warm welcome. I recommend it to anyone looking for value for money.
04/08/2025: Well, the pizza - quatro formaggi - was excellent, never have eaten a better one. You can try as well, if you are prepared to wait almost two hours for it.
We came in at 8:00 pm, got a menu directly and purchased. At close to 10:00 pm we have finally got our pizza.
In the mean time we had to wait for a wine quit a bit. There were only two personnel for the whole pizzeria. And they were just not able to serve everybody in time.
Then we wanted to purchase a second glass of wine. Even after we have called the waiter and she promised "I am coming" we did not get her coming. We just used the trick the locals did - going to the bar and ask for wine ourselves. Only then we've got additional glass of wine.
The ambience is nothing special. Eating inside is not an option - very intense white light kills the appetite. Eating outside is exposing yourself on many cigarette smokers around you. Not pretty if you are not one of them.
Conclusion: Excellent pizza, not so good pizzeria.

20/07/2024: Serata in famiglia, scegliamo questo posto che non avevamo mai provato prima, giardino molto rustico, pochi tavoli, musica dal vivo, insomma, una bellissima serata estiva.
Partiamo con un antipasto misto, buono, in particolare abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo la frittata di patate e la parmigiana, fantastiche!!! Tutti prodotti locali. Poi arriva il pezzo forte, Paolo alla griglia è un maestro abbiamo fatto vitello e maiale accompagnati da patate alla brace, fagiolini e pomodori di Belmonte (pane fatto in casa da loro buonissimo)
Per finire gelato, tartufo di pizzo affogato.
