05/07/2025: The service is the best thing you can find in this place. We had pizza, it was acceptable, but nothing special or extraordinary. The prices are acceptable (on average 10 euros for pizza), the cocktails are a bit expensive (10 euros for a gin and tonic).

12/07/2025: Excellent beachfront property. Clean, renovated, and spacious rooms. 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 dog stayed. Excellent food from the pizzeria to the restaurant. Super-abundant breakfast with fresh produce every morning. Unforgettable Apulian focaccia! Extremely kind, friendly, and helpful staff. We felt pampered, just like at home! Once again, a heartfelt thank you to all the staff for taking care of our dog Crodino during the fire that broke out in Metaponto and bringing him back safe and sound to the collection points. Thankfully, good people still exist!!! We highly recommend it!!! A big hug from Cinzia, Beppe, Andrea, and Crodino ♡

11/07/2025: We, 2 mothers with children, arrived at this place after a long journey and saw a dirty area with a terrible smell of garbage cans. We were met with a cold look. The room is not comfortable, there are not even glasses for water, nothing. The cafe is like from the last century, everything is old, the prices are inflated. No one came to us and told us about this place, no advice or answers. We apologized and decided to leave, but the owner did not give us 50 €, since according to his version, the children went to the toilet in the room. This is how they treat children there. This is the worst place, with disgusting staff, that we have seen. We are horrified, tired, without a sip of water and in tears, we left for another place, which we looked for for several hours standing on the street under the door of these people. We saw everything and no one helped. Shame! Do not come to this dirty place, there is Ginoza Sea nearby, everything is fine there. P.S.: I would like to add one more thing, since the owner has already answered. The owner does not feel any shame or remorse for this disgrace... It is very easy for these people to offend women with children. Our children sat on the dirty ground near this garbage dump and cried, because we were shocked by the attitude of these people. Do not forget about Karma, you also have to answer for the tears of children, may God add conscience to you... I will answer about our country, fortunately, even during the terrible war in Ukraine there is no such horror, no such dirt and no such bad people!!! No one asked your opinion on where we should go and what to do. I hope that the war and such attitude of others towards you will not affect you. We wish you to find the strength and admit to yourself that good and love are stronger than evil and hatred. Good luck!

05/08/2025: Very nice, clean, and well-kept. Prices are a bit higher than other beaches.

04/08/2025: The beach is wonderful, sandy. Very helpful staff. A bus takes you down to the beach from a parking lot above (15 minutes walk by the way). The driver only speaks Italian but helps with everything. The bus runs every hour, and every half hour in the evening.

26/05/2025: Terrible restaurant in everything, something never seen, smelly indigestible food... the owner instead of admitting the mistakes justified himself by saying the opposite, I had to pay even if I shouldn't have, given how we ate, I strongly advise against it

27/07/2025: I'll start by saying this is my first time here. It's a welcoming, fun place. The only downside is that the manager only played group dances until midnight, including ballroom and waltz dances and a few slow dances. Instead of playing a mix of music to allow for disco dances, when asked, he told us they have a set list. I'm sorry, but that's not how it works. He played some disco music after midnight. I've been to other places where there was a mix of everything throughout the evening. I hope this advice helps improve. The pizzas are good, the appetizers are good, and the grilled meats are good. I recommend it.

30/06/2025: We arrived at 11pm, the owner was sitting down to dinner and didn't tell us the place was closed!, end of story!

12/08/2025: THE SHAME OF BERNALDA, THE SHAME OF THE TYPICAL GOOD WELCOME, COURTESY, AND GOOD FOOD TYPICAL OF THE SOUTHERN REGION, DECLASSIFIED BY THIS BUSINESS, WHICH SHOWS ALL THE CLASSIC NEGATIVE STEREOTYPES THAT UNFORTUNATELY MAKE US A WORST IN THE WORLD WHEN THIS KIND OF PEOPLE AND BUSINESSES EXIST. THE CLASSIC "CATERING" PEOPLE, A TERM NOT EVEN APPROPRIATE, WHO DECLASSIFY THE CATEGORY AND ABOVE ALL BRING SHAME TO THE TYPICAL GOOD QUALITY CUISINE, AND THE WELCOMING AND COURTESY TYPICAL OF THE SOUTHERN REGION IN GENERAL, AND ESPECIALLY OF MY BELOVED LUCANIA, MY BELOVED BERNALDA. I AM A NATIVE OF THE PLACE AND I WAS ASHAMED FOR THESE "COMPETUAL" PEOPLE WHO UNFORTUNATELY BRING PITY AND SHAME TO THE REPUTATION OF MY BELOVED COUNTRY.

30/06/2025: Pizza ordinata telefonicamente alle 19 per le 21 da asporto, alle 21 arrivo pago locale vuoto e aspetta aspetta, più di un ora d'attesa, senza avvertire il cliente per il ritardo, senza scusarsi. Spiacente,ma non si lavora così non ci torno e di sicuro non lo consiglio.

14/07/2025: We had lunch at Chimera today. We tried all the appetizers and I have to say we were completely satisfied! The first courses were top-notch.... And the mixed fried fish was nothing short of exceptional. Thank you for delighting us with all of this!

09/07/2025: Rustic location, efficient waiter, good food, but a few things need work. We ordered the €8 portion of anchovies served on a small plastic cake plate with nine anchovies inside (the portion was much smaller than the one shown in the photos) and a grilled dish. For two, we ate for one (an appetizer, if we want to call it that, and a main course) for €40. At the cash register, the owner neither thanked us nor said goodbye, and she gave us the €50 change condescendingly while she was on the phone. Where's the hospitality towards tourists? We're still looking for it.

19/05/2025: Sunday lunch. Booked in advance. The place was packed beyond capacity, even blocking the wheelchair ramp. The food didn't arrive. After the appetizer, which wasn't enough for the number of people we were, we decided to leave. It was impossible to continue in that chaos and we had been at the table for almost two hours. The owner treated us terribly, very arrogant. We paid too much for the misery they brought us.

12/05/2025: It was an experience to forget. Since the restaurant was full, the staff immediately seemed very annoyed at having to be there, but apart from that, there is no menu so you eat what is told to you verbally without a price or an indication of allergens or whether it is frozen or not. After ordering, we first received the pasta with tomato sauce for the children (cold), then the appetizers in measly portions because, we discovered later, they had mixed up the table orders and so we ate (and paid) for a table of 8, but with portions for a table of 4. The worst is yet to come, in fact the second courses arrived before the first courses and despite this the meat was cold and we had to send it back because it tasted rancid, as if it had been cooked and left there. Disgusted, but still respectful and polite, we wanted to address the problem to the cashier, but avoiding unnecessary confrontations; except that the lady at the checkout started shouting, pointing at us and saying "they're waiting because they want to argue". Well dear lady, if we had wanted to argue we would have had every reason, because you don't give spoiled food to people, especially at a table with two two year old children. We (over)paid and left certain that you will never see us again because that's not how you work in a serious way, I'm sorry for other unfortunate people who, like us, will stumble upon your ineptitude.
