I recommend the horse meatballs, they are delicious!

Visiting Catania, we had to try some cavallo. Or horse. It was delicious!
The young gal at our hotel recommended this restaurant and they were very accommodating, especially as we just wanted a beer and to taste horse, not stay for an entire meal… NO PROBLEMS!
So we ordered the horse steak and a meatball each, enjoyed both with a beer for a very reasonable price!
The horse meat balls (that look more like a burger as they were smashed or seared on the grill) were FANTASTIC!
If you’ve never had horse before, you gotta try it! The rest of their food looked hearty and equally delicious - which I hope to enjoy next time!

27/07/2024: Original and neat setting, Pirates of the Caribbean atmosphere, however the cuisine is frankly average and not remarkable in terms of taste (industrial products) the same for the cocktails (ready-made Pina Colada, bottle version: It's frankly average for a restaurant around the theme " Pirates"... In short, unless you are a fan of the Pirates, you can take off!

27/08/2024: Excellent restaurant...every time I'm in Catania I go to eat the best horse meat I've ever eaten! It looks like ham because of how tender it is... in addition to the meat I take the horse meatball, the sausage and the spring onion 😉 I recommend you make this dish, you won't regret it! In addition to the treatment I received from all the professionally trained staff, it was top notch! Finally, the genuine simplicity of Mrs. Grazia who really makes you feel at home...trying is believing! See you soon
27/08/2024: We visited 2 years ago, returned after a while and every time we come to the restaurant with pleasure. Friendly staff. Very tasty cuisine. Quiet, calm atmosphere.
We are very glad to meet Mario, one of the restaurant employees. Pleasant to talk to, an expert in his business and the menu. We asked for vegetarian options and did not receive a negative response. They listened to us, helped us with our choice and simply surprised us with the quality of the food. We can say with confidence that pasta and pizza are beyond any praise.
I’m sure that if we return to Catania, the choice of restaurant will again fall on Cavalier Roxy) Or maybe we return every time only because of the pasta and pizza??? Who knows😆

08/07/2024: STAY AWAY. As others say, the owner will rob you and overcharge you for drinks absolutely ridiculous prices. Once you confront him, he starts to pretend he does not understand English or Spanish. Advertises cheap food, says the menu is in his head and distracts you along the way. It is VERY SAD. Our experience in Sicily was very positive and last night this guy just ruined it all.
