04/03/2024: I've been to this place several times, I've tried practically every dish on the menu and off-menu seasonal items, and it has now become the place we go to every time we need to refresh ourselves a bit. Family atmosphere, quiet and welcoming, suitable for those who are not in a hurry and want to spend an evening without too many worries. The food is excellent, all handmade and freshly made, which sometimes requires long waiting times due to cooking, but the quality is evident. As a Tuscan I can without a doubt say that if I want to eat meat as God commands, I have to come here! The maturation and cooking are perfect, without obviously talking about the quality/price ratio, unbeatable in the area. The desserts are the icing on the cake, all handmade directly by the owner. In short... what else can I say... I recommend it!
04/03/2024: I feel somewhat embarrassed in having to express an opinion contrary to the vast majority of reviewers. First opportunity to visit Grillo, deliberate choice of simple dishes, three first courses, including the classic "Tagliatella al ragù", mixed grill and side dishes. I don't want to evaluate the dishes as such, but to highlight the value for money which I believe overall is not "in line". I ate a lot of "Tagliatelle al ragù" even much more expensive than the €12.00 paid for the one consumed and leaving aside that it was also a little over cooked, honestly in my/our opinion they are not worth the expense. The same goes for the mixed grilled meat (served in 3 different varieties) a little dry and also small in portion (but this is subjective). So considering the informal Osteria environment, served on a straw paper placemat and paper napkin with attached place setting from €2.50 well..... Of course, a manager is completely free to charge the prices he deems appropriate and then it's up to everyone to decide whether the cost for a dish is justified or not. Perhaps in this case (but unfortunately like many others) the philosophy of the Osteria is not actually present. I highlight the service of the waiters: friendly, prepared and present, in any case the informality should be noted; the waiter was dressed in a sweatshirt and tracksuit. Maybe we caught the evening NO, it fits, but we will be back for other dishes.
