26/01/2026: Perfect tasting experience with Lewis at Maude. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate (but not wanky). We didn’t book and quickly popped in right when they opened, they squeezed us in for a tasting of 7 wines from their multiple vineyards in Otago. Their Pinot Noir selection was unbelievable, and we took a couple of bottles home with us (which were very reasonably priced for the quality). We sat in the sun on an outdoor table overlooking the mountains and lake, and it was a dream. Thanks for having us!

04/01/2026: La Baita a Scanno is an excellent restaurant to stop at after a day spent in nature. Lunch was delicious and of high quality, featuring traditional local dishes. The arrosticini, in particular, were excellent: well-cooked, flavorful, and truly delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service courteous, making the experience pleasant and relaxing. It's a recommended place for anyone who wants to sample Abruzzo cuisine in a family atmosphere.

14/10/2025: Parco dei Mulini has been a trusted favorite for several years now. I've been here often, even on different occasions (in the summer, the kiosk is open, you can eat outside in the heavenly temperatures, and the live music evenings are fantastic!). In the winter, they host indoor evenings, and the menus change based on events (the pizzas, in particular, are updated frequently!). Top quality in everything, from beers to main courses, all the way to dessert (made by the fantastic staff), and the pizzas are unparalleled: the best pizzas in the Ortona area and the surrounding area, even though we're in Crecchio. Generous portions and affordable prices. The owner is super. The place is beautiful, surrounded by the greenery of a charming former mill, and it's not uncommon to spot a few animals!

We were accommodated and treated with great care. The sandwiches were delicious, and the plated chicken with potatoes was truly tasty. Highly recommended for groups of friends and families alike. A screen for sports games is available. The service and cuisine are efficient and effective. The restaurant is decorated in a "Western" style.

23/02/2026: A really cute place, quite close to the center. I found out about it through word of mouth, and was told I'd find the best arrosticini in L'Aquila here, along with lots of delicious bruschetta (including gluten-free ones)... and so it was! Friendly and attentive service; along with the standard cover charge, they also bring a small basket of salami, which was much appreciated. We then ordered some delicious bruschetta, arrosticini, and a portion of fries, all excellent! The location is also really interesting. We'll definitely be back.

01/02/2026: The staff were extremely friendly and the customer service was excellent. The idea of ​​the salami served with a small platter was a nice touch. Excellent pecorino cheese with jams, and the bruschetta and arrosticini were delicious. They also offered us a very strong aniseed liqueur at the end of the meal, the name of which I don't remember. I would gladly return to this restaurant, recommended by the B&B manager, who was also very kind, in a city that, unfortunately, I found full of very rude people outside of their own.

The place is well-kept and clean; the outdoor area, although at sidewalk level, is well-insulated from both pedestrian and car traffic.
