The Bench Pub

18/05/2025: Finally last night, we managed to try this pub, after trying to go several times. In fact, I recommend booking at least a day in advance (but even earlier to be safe). We tried the chips with the skin, the classic chicken wings, the pulled pork bites and two of their sandwiches. The price may seem high, but it is actually fair both for the quantity of the dishes and for their goodness. Different beers, with a good variety, especially among the bottled ones. Food rating: 5.
The service was always attentive and kind, without ever being too invasive. It was a service that makes you want to go back even just for their staff, especially the gentleman who was behind the bar. Service rating: 5.
The place is small, but very well decorated. As soon as you open the door you feel like you are teleported into a typical English pub. The music is not too loud, so it is possible to converse, without shouting, but with an appropriate tone of voice. Ambience rating: 4.5.
Final rating: 4.8. Fully recommended and we will definitely be back.
07/05/2025: During a holiday on Lake Garda with my wife, we decided to try this Pub, a small place, furnished in English Pub style, wide choice of sandwiches and beers, very friendly owner. We both take a Britannia burger + blonde beer recommended by the owner, fantastic sandwich, among the best ever eaten, excellent beer too, costs adequate for the quality.

07/06/2025: We sat down and were told we only have an hour to eat, then the waitress didn't take our order for about 30 minutes. There were people who sat down after us and were served and we just sat there being ignored so we got up and left without ordering. Also, prices were quite high.

The products are fresh, delicious and made with genuine ingredients.
The bread is crunchy and tasty, the desserts are unique and irresistible. Hummus, avocado toast and fennel side dish, all delicious.
The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. I highly recommend trying a substantial lunch/dinner from them. Great for breakfast too!
Excellent choice for those looking for healthy and high quality cuisine

08/06/2025: The place is not the best because it is on a very busy road and the outside terrace overlooks the road! For this reason it does not deserve 5 stars! However the food is really excellent! A wide choice also for vegetarians and vegans! Excellent beers! I will definitely return! They also have a lunch break!

The atmosphere is lively, with a young and attentive clientele, and the staff is impeccable. The sandwich I chose was delicious and I really enjoyed the beer selection. A perfect experience, congratulations!

07/06/2025: We came to order food and at the checkout I noticed that a girl named Mirna was standing and collecting orders with her hair loose near her face and her hair was long, this is a food service where it is unacceptable for hair to end up in customers' food. I told the girl about this, and she immediately started yelling and saying that I should mind my own business, I will mind my own business, but I hope that control will drop by to see them.

02/07/2025: The atmosphere was nice especially those who enjoy such music. Though i could not say the same about the foods quality, as I was picking out food from the buffet flies were seen swarming the food, the chef put his bare hand in the food of customers to try it out, and the drinks area was full of ants crawling every where. After our stay at this restaurant my friend and I sufferred from diarrhea, vomitting, nausea and is still suffering the consequences of the food the next morning. If one plans on having a restful holiday do not consider even going to this place as it can ruin an entire trip.

02/06/2025: Went there for dinner expecting to have a great burger and fries as “comfort food” was in the name and had good reviews. It is clear that nothing was made fresh. The burger was grey on the outside and pink in the middle indicating it was frozen before cooking. The fries were nothing special and you have to pay about 1 euro each for any sauce you want with them. Even though we were the only other table of customers in the restaurant the young servers disappeared for long stretches of time, no one came and checked on us during our meal and in the end we just walked over to the cashier to ask to pay our bill. Bad quality food, lackluster service and a waste of a meal in Verona.
23/02/2025: Prenotato per la cena con la moglie siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, ingredienti di qualità, gli hamburger sono molto buoni e di varie facitore , abbondanti, carne cotta a propria scelta, scelta delle birre varia, da consiglio le patatine con il cheddar e bacon, locale accogliente, prezzi giusti ed in linea con il servizio.

Reading the old reviews it seems it was a great place, today instead it is to be avoided.
Dated place, but we can also look beyond if the rest was worth it; instead no.
The quality of the food is absolutely not worth the price paid and we were also badly scammed.
Group of almost 20 people, we left little by little each paying their part of the bill, perhaps they did not think we would hear from each other again.
Too bad that instead we discovered that everyone was given random prices, definitely inflated compared to the menu, yes we were wrong to trust the dishes said verbally.
They were charged for things more than what was actually consumed, even the covers were charged differently between the various diners.
And the receipt? Obviously it had to be requested because never mind!
Bread and breadsticks possible, some glasses arrived dirty at the table.
In the bathroom there was totally no soap and toilet paper.

11/06/2025: All in all normal, even if from the first order everything arrived different from what was requested, but luckily we didn't pay more. But even more so the lady who sprays our table to clean it while we still have to finish eating... rude!

Ordered a beef hamburger (7 out of 10).
Chicken burger (5 out of 10).
Kids' meal (Nuggets) (7 out of 10).
Chicken wrap meal (6 out of 10).
Fries were dry and a little cold.
Iced tea juice (6 out of 10).
Unforgettable experience.
Note: There is a pork burger.
