20/04/2026: On vacation in Sicily for a tour of Montalbano locations, we had lunch at this restaurant, which I hadn't heard of.
What a pleasant surprise.... a rustic and welcoming place, with a vaulted ceiling, I believe recently renovated. The food here is excellent... a rich Sicilian appetizer, homemade pasta with sausage sauce, all accompanied by an excellent red wine to memorize... a delicious roast pork.
Dessert concluded beautifully.
Friendly and professional table service.
The owner was very friendly and told me about the cast of the TV series.
Whether you're in Scicli on vacation or just passing through, this place is worth a stop.

06/04/2026: We dined at Quore Matto during our stay in Scicli, and the experience was truly enjoyable in every way. We were seated immediately and enjoyed two truly excellent first courses: fresh seafood tagliatelle and grouper ravioli with shrimp ragù and chopped Bronte pistachios. Generous portions, with incredibly fresh, high-quality fish.
The service was fast and very courteous. A special thanks to the young woman who served us: I had asked her privately for a little surprise for my boyfriend's birthday, and she went out of her way to bring an almond parfait with a candle, making the moment truly special.
Excellent value: we only spent €45 in total. Furthermore, the owner offered us a liqueur or coffee at the end of the meal, a much-appreciated gesture.
Highly recommended! We will definitely return if we pass through Scicli again.

Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience.
Lunch was arranged ahead of time with L'Oste for today, costing €25, including "appetizer - 2 first courses - water/wine - coffee."
Having mentioned that a vegetarian was coming, he had neither the good taste nor the ability to propose a variation to the agreed-upon menu, limiting it to just one first course, in addition to the inevitable exclusion of salami and animal products.
During lunch, L'Oste proved unprofessional and clearly annoyed by the requests for the agreed-upon portions. The portions weren't enough for all diners, neither for appetizers nor drinks. The climax came when we noticed that the Coca-Cola served in glass bottles had expired.
At the end of the meal, not even the agreed-upon coffee was served.

Recommended, we weren't disappointed.
The arancino with ham and mozzarella was good but not memorable, while the one with ragù won us over with its richness and quality of filling.
We loved the scacce.

25/08/2025: Very nice staff! We ordered two Arancini, one with Ragu and one with spinach and cheese. Very tasty and affordable! Especially for a quick pit stop.

08/07/2024: Abbiamo prenotato on-line con The fork,che ci dava varie disponibilità, perché nel primo pomeriggio non rispondeva nessuno al numero di telefono fisso. Ricevuta conferma di prenotazione,all' orario stabilito abbiamo cercato di raggiungere la struttura,ma il navigatore ci ha mandato fuori strada due volte con due percorsi diversi e in strade dissestate,perché mal segnalato su Google Maps. Le persone del posto ci hanno detto che capita a tutti.
Cartelli stradali inesistenti,ce n'era solo uno sbiadito all' inizio della traversa che conduceva a questo casolare in mezzo alle serre.Ci siamo arrivati solo grazie alla gentilezza di un ragazzo del posto,che ci ha presi a cuore e ci ha accompagnato. Una volta lí abbiamo trovato la struttura chiusa,nessuno ad accoglierci e tutto sembrava apparentemente abbandonato. Dopo circa 40 minuti di giri, ci siamo ritrovati senza cena e abbiamo dovuto chiamare vari localini della zona per trovare finalmente una soluzione. Insomma sconsigliatissimo!
