25/06/2026: Excellent restaurant (not a pizzeria), located outside the city center, but still five minutes from the main street. Even without a reservation, we managed to dine outside during the week. Good selection of dishes, including appetizers, first courses, and second courses. I recommend the seafood carbonara with squid ink tagliolini, fried calamari, culargiones, or the Sardinian platter. A must-visit restaurant, highly recommended. The owner and her assistant, the waitress, are very helpful. Go there.
24/06/2026: An experience that goes far beyond the excellent food. I ate a truly exquisite pasta with clams, perfectly prepared with the freshest ingredients. But what made this evening special was the kindness of the couple who run the restaurant. At the end of the meal, Paolo stopped to chat with us: he was extremely kind, gave us valuable advice for our trip, and, in a truly appreciated gesture, offered me a Sardinian digestif for my birthday. It's precisely these sincere touches that make the difference and make a restaurant special. Thank you so much for making my birthday dinner even more wonderful. We'll definitely be back!

Ristorante Pizzeria Santa Maria

16/08/2026: 1 star because it can't be given less. One waiter in particular was very rude, terrible value for money. Poor food and even cheating. With the grilled fish (€32 for a small fish and 2 prawns), we were served a portion of grilled vegetables that we thought was included with the grilled fish, but instead they added it to our bill without anyone ordering it. When we mentioned this, the lady at the cashier replied, "But I don't know, I didn't order it." Bottom line: we paid for it. It's a shame for such a beautiful August bank holiday, we expected more. At least they had been polite.
15/08/2026: UP AND DOWN EXPERIENCE:
We had dinner today. We had two mixed seafood appetizers with mussels, octopus, and salmon, fries, a pizza, beer, and peach tea + water.
The pizza was decent, and the fries were really good, different from the usual. The appetizers were average, but most of the mussels were empty.
The low point: I specifically asked for a 0.66 bottle of ichinusa. They brought me a 0.40 bottle on tap. I pointed out the mistake, and the beer also had a strange taste. "It's flat," the waiter replied, "it's out of gas." Well, they changed it for me, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
The atmosphere is okay, the service is adequate. Given the name, I expected more. I'm giving it three stars because there are better options in Villasimius for the same price.

18/10/2025: The rooms are a bit dated, but this is more than compensated for by the overall package and, above all, the incredible friendliness and humanity of the staff.
-Eating in the restaurant in the evening is highly recommended 👍🏽
-Superbly maintained grounds and a beautiful (unheated) pool 👍🏽
-There are several cats living on the property, and when our children wanted to pet them, a staff member was immediately on hand to give them small treats to entice them 👍🏽
-When one of our children injured his knee, he received immediate help, the wound was cleaned, and he was given a hug. You could really feel the humanity shown to you🫶🏼
-Moderate breakfast buffet, but you don't need more than that 👍🏽
-Really good location, great advice on beaches, etc. 👍🏽

18/10/2025: We stayed at this hotel with two children for three nights in mid-October.
Check-in was very pleasant. They explained to us which direction the wind would be blowing in the next few days and which beaches they recommended.
The in-house restaurant was a dream in terms of food, so we spent two evenings there. The service staff was also very good.
Whether at meals or at reception, the staff were always friendly. That's unfortunately still rare in Germany. And I trained as a hotel manager myself and always look at the restaurant industry with a strict eye. I like to find something to complain about. ;-) Not at this hotel, however.
Unfortunately, the pool wasn't heated. But that didn't bother my husband and children.
The rooms were cleaned daily. There were more than enough towels. You could borrow umbrellas, toys, etc. for the beach. The Wi-Fi was faster than at home.
The city center was a 15-minute walk away.
It was the perfect location for us.
The nearest beaches are a 5-minute drive away, the city center and supermarket are 2 minutes away, and the location is quiet with a view of the mountains.

09/07/2025: Si fa fatica a descrivere l esperienza vissuta in questo ristorante. La posizione è carina, ma appena si mette piede nel ristorante si ha l impressione che tutto sia un po’ lasciato al caso.
Seduti al regalo arriva il primo cameriere che ci chiede solo se volevamo dell acqua. Dopo un po’ arriva il secondo chiediamo un piatto fuori menù: una tartare di tonno. Dopo aver chiesto al maitre di sala, allo chef ci arriva. Presentazione molto casalinga qualità buona. Ai primi un flop totale. Risotto e fregola piatti senza un minimo di sapore. Pago un conto di ca 150€ per una tartare, due primi, 2 tagliate di anguria e 2 calici di vino. Il dopo è ancora più assurdo. Poi aver lasciato il locale ci raggiunge il maitre di sala e ci chiede se dal conto poteva togliere il primo che non avevamo mangiato. Allucinante
