Restaurant in the historic center of Fano, exquisite dishes, very fresh fish. Their brodetto (reservation required, at least the day before) is perhaps the best. The service is courteous and very professional, and in the summer they also have outdoor seating. We always go there when we're in Fano.

16/05/2026: Sunday lunch with friends at this trattoria. Simple dishes, carefully prepared. Authentic flavors and excellent ingredients. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Surprisingly reasonable prices. An experience worth repeating.

18/05/2026: Enjoyed a delicious lunch and very nice, friendly service. Reason enough to come back for dinner in the evening. At lunch, we saw a few dishes on the menu that we wanted to try.
Fried sardines and stuffed squid; truly incredibly tasty. In addition, good advice for a bottle of delicious local wine.
This is highly recommended again! We will be back when we are in Fano again.

19/05/2026: I ate some excellent gluten-free cappelletti with duck ragù and a mixed platter with my colleagues, an experience to be repeated.
17/05/2026: This time we stopped by chance because we were passing through Fano for other reasons. Next time we'll come to Fano specifically to eat here.
Everything was wonderful: lovely dining room, excellent fish (we took advantage of the brodetto fest to try this famous Fano dish), friendly staff. We had a great time and the next day we even ordered pasta from their pasta factory. Fantastic!

02/06/2026: I find the restaurant's good reviews astonishing and completely disagree with them. The prices are significantly overpriced for what's offered, the owner is almost brusque and arrogant, and nearly all the dishes are coated in a thick layer of breading. I had a mixed grill where the breading made it almost impossible to taste the individual fish. My conclusion: never again. It's a shame, because the place is in a good location and looks inviting from the outside. Except, of course, for the piles of trash, which negatively impact the overall impression and appearance.

02/06/2026: The chalet might have its merits, but it's a shame the experience is ruined by those at the entrance. The bouncer, "GianMaria," in particular, is the perfect example of how even a modicum of power can go to the wrong people's heads.
Arrogant attitude, rude manners, and a constant feeling of superiority toward customers. It seems the goal isn't to welcome guests or ensure safety, but to assert one's authority whenever possible.
The most annoying thing is that it feels like the rules change depending on who you're with, creating an unpleasant and unprofessional atmosphere.
A venue can have excellent music, views, and service, but when the first contact is with people who treat customers with condescension, the negative impression lingers. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a respectful and peaceful environment.

27/04/2026: Unfortunately, I have to share my bad experience... with the new management, certain elements need to be revisited...
The older blonde lady (never seen her before, despite coming here often) who waits tables is incredibly rude, to say the least. I understand her age and tiredness, but if you're in direct contact with customers, you can't and shouldn't behave in such a way. I hope the new management reads the message and takes the appropriate precautions. I might be the first of many to stop coming back just because of one employee... because everything else has always been perfect.

19/04/2026: I can't comment on the quality of the pastry shop, but the fact that they didn't remove the tare (80 grams) for a tray of pastries really bothers me. If we add that I also asked the clerk if he had removed the tare (yes, he certainly had), I feel cheated, because their behavior is not fair.
I hope this was helpful for future purchases at this pastry shop.
16/04/2026: Terrible welcome, not even a smile, and the lady at the pastry counter at the entrance (I think the owner) didn't even say hello.
While regulars were greeted with a super warm welcome and smiles.
Expensive prices; even though they point out that table service prices are different, it makes no sense because they're really high. And then charging a fortune to have two coffees and two pastries brought to your table, literally stuck to the counter, makes no sense whatsoever.
The floor was dirty, stained, and sticky in some places.
Leaving glass objects at the edge of the register/counter was dangerous (for both customers—adults, children, dogs—and the staff), and it was also cumbersome. I would reconsider the placement of the objects.
The scene where the owner scolded a member of staff in front of everyone was unpleasant. (She could have spoken to him aside or waited until we left.) And in any case, it wasn't the boy's fault. (A glass candy dish fell.)
We were disappointed; we expected fresh food and Savoy courtesy.

08/07/2025: Nuestra primera impresión del restaurante fue entrar al comedor al aire libre detrás del restaurante. El ruido del tráfico se desvanecía y los exuberantes jardines de arbustos y las cortinas de techo creaban la atmósfera de un cenador en una finca rural donde podían reunirse familias numerosas. El personal fue amable y atento al explicarnos el menú y hacer ajustes para que nuestras comidas fueran exactamente lo que queríamos. Los ingredientes eran frescos y locales, la preparación era sabrosa e inventiva, y la presentación era excelente. Toda la experiencia fue relajada y relajante. Fue una comida memorable.

Personale tra i più scortesi e svogliati della città soprattutto le donne che ci sono la mattina.
Sempre musi lunghi, sempre a parlare dei fatti loro davanti i clienti, sempre a fare a discussione tra di loro... Bar che vive di ricordi ma sinceramente si trova molto di meglio ingiro.

RISTORANTINO DA SANTIN BRACERIA

29/08/2024: A Fano si mangia ottimo pesce. Ma se volete il massimo c’è un solo posto: il Ristorantino da Santin. Il pesce è freschissimo e pescato nel mare lì di fronte. E il titolare/cuoco, Stefano, è uno che al pesce dà del tu: sa come esaltare una materia prima di qualità. Ci siamo stati tre volte: nonostante il fermo-pesca abbiamo mangiato dei tagliolini al sugo di pesce squisiti , un gratinato con capesante, cozze, razza e mazzancolle memorabile, un carapaccio di pescespada (appena pescato, sentita la telefonata al peschereccio la sera prima) e una tartare di tonno sublime, spaghettoni alle vongole con una quantità di vongole buonissime esagerata. Peccato non essere riusciti a passare l’ultima sera del soggiorno fanese, perché volevo provare i ravioli alla ricciola. Ma tanto torneremo…
