27/12/2024: Restaurant on the avenue that leads to Montemonaco (practically in the centre). Marche and Sardinian cuisine, superb quality, excellent prices! We two had an appetizer "la tavernetta" and a portion of fried pecorino, then a chef's tagliatelle and a bagel, all excellent! (crostini with colonella lard, wow) We will certainly return to two young restaurateurs who convey emotion and dedication in what they bring to the table!!

07/01/2025: Excellent restaurant in the heart of beautiful Ascoli Piceno. Arriving for lunch without a reservation, we couldn't find a seat so we booked a table for dinner. We were really satisfied. The menu features various dishes with truly delicious raw materials. The appetizers are very tasty, from stuffed Ascoli olives to quail eggs with fresh porcini mushrooms to fried porcini mushrooms, to name a few. There are various firsts. We tasted the rigatoni amatriciana and the chitarrina with porcini mushrooms, both delicious and plentiful. You can also ask for the addition of mushrooms but those that are there are usually more than enough. We didn't taste the second courses. We will definitely be back for this. However, we saw some tempting kebabs and steaming meat being served. The trifle with lots of chocolate and sprinkled with rosé anisette is very good. We were also offered two very fragrant glasses of Meletti anisette. The service is welcoming, kind, attentive and attentive. Excellent value for money. Truly highly recommended. We will be back soon to try more. And we're back. All good this time too. The truffle guitar is special. The Ascoli olives with porcini mushrooms are very good. The fried mushrooms are excellent. The trifle is always tasty and the fig loin is delicious. We will return again.

21/08/2024: Location a little far from the sea but in a pleasant place. The managers were friendly and nice people but unfortunately totally disorganised. First of all, it should be noted that it is a totally unsuitable place for those with disabilities as the rooms are very small and can be reached from the outside via a staircase; to go down to the swimming pool there are steep and dangerous stone steps, we were unable to use the latter due to my difficulty in getting there but also for my wife who on three days, for two it was unusable due to works and is completely without assistance. The breakfast was practically non-existent with the slices of dessert left over from dinner the day before, no croissants, some yoghurt and slices of bread with jam and honey, but the worst thing, after having previously warned several times about the problems with lactose, in addition to not there was an allergen table and no sign on the food, we had to go and buy lactose-free milk; same problem at dinner which, after having assured us that we had taken measures, we found ourselves with the same problems and excuses for having forgotten. A shame because the place has good potential and the managers are nice, but these are too important shortcomings for an accommodation facility in 2024, a little more attention would be enough.

16/08/2024: I have been going to this place for many years now as it was also my dad's favourite. Strategic "cooling" point for the summer heat. Exquisite first courses. Aperitifs always at the top with Stefano who doesn't miss a beat. Honest prices. Kind, polite and professional.

07/09/2024: But I have to say that I haven't had a pizza this good in a long time. With €15 we did the pizza tour but with small children to manage in the end we ate a pizza each 🤣🤣🤣 and the owners were very kind and didn't charge the girls. Crispy but nice stuffed pizza. The seafood pizza was amazing with lots of fish on it. The one with pistachio and mortadella is also very good. I recommend this pizzeria. If I'm not mistaken they do the pizza round twice a week and I've seen many customers also take the kebabs which are served in an earthenware container. We'll be back!!!

23/12/2024: Super cool pub/beer hall in Ascoli, very reminiscent of Mikkeller in SF or London. The Mina Blanche is stellar, highly recommended!

14/01/2025: Immediately after lunch, we decided to go for a coffee and a bitter to digest. As soon as we entered, we were ignored for about ten minutes, after which the bartender asked: "do you take it here or at the table?" We decide on table service, unaware of everything that was about to happen. Once seated, total blackout. After 5 minutes the lights come back on and our order arrives. The environment is decidedly shabby, so much so that, as soon as we entered to pay, there was the waiter who was energetically spreading the cocoa butter, without giving a damn about us, a loose dog and a lady behind the counter who carelessly prepared a tray of pastries by taking them and moving them with your hands. I asked for the bill for 3 coffees and a simple amaro, the price was 10 euros, not even in Tornino in Maestro Iginio Massari's pastry shop did I pay this ridiculous amount. Going outside, the tables were full of walking pigeons and icing sugar from breakfast, a lady was having an aperitif with one of these birds, perched on the table and trying to steal her very expensive food. To conclude this terrifying experience, a group of 5 pigeons, flying, created a cloud of dirt and germs that we had to breathe. NEVER AGAIN!
