01/08/2026: Their operating days and hours are limited. We dined at Bar Azzurro twice, once at lunch and a second time for dinner. We were there in July 2026. They offer a very limited menu at lunch. The lunch menu consisted of 6 items. We had 5 of the 6 items offered. For €15 the steak tartar was delicious, a sizeable portion and a great value. Although for the same €15 four small Bruschetta while tasty were certainly not a value. The other dishes we had were good and a decent value. When we dined in the evening we all had pizza. The pizza was very good and well priced. The service was friendly and efficient. We had no problem communicating with the staff in English, although German did not seem to be an option. You need reservations in the evening. The restaurant fills with locals early. Parking is very limited and the drive up is typical of the area, very narrow, steep streets with hair pin turns. If we stayed close by we will definitely return.

21/08/2023: What a shame ! Arrived at the aesthetically pleasing Olde England restaurant escaping a thunder storm with my wife on our last night in the beautiful Cernobbio and made our way to the bar. After being abruptly told to leave the bar area and sit! (like a dog) by a very disdainful, unmannerly barman with his arm thrusted out towards a table, we took our seats and waited to be served. (We later realised he was the manager/owner) He then came over and took our order with such condesecension and a hugely inconvenienced attitude and look upon his face. After answering all of our questions about the selection of wines they might have with 'no' or scoffing at us, we uncomfortably ordered something we knew to eleviate the awkward and utterly disrespectful situation. We then proceeded to witness the same awful level of customer service with 2 more patrons before asking for our bill and leaving. Luckily we were served by another member of staff this time who put the initial staff member to shame with his appropriate conduct.
