03/11/2024: Ribs with polenta and chicken Cacciatore really delicious! Right portions for the price paid, I would go back! Attentive and friendly waiters, even the interior of the restaurant is well looked after. Well done!

06/08/2024: Historic establishment in one of the main squares of beautiful Bellagio. Indoor tables are available, but I recommend the tables in the square in front of the church. They do not serve food, only drinks and ice cream. Friendly and quick service. Reasonable prices even when seated at the tables. One of the few honest establishments in the area that issues a fiscal receipt (mandatory in Italy, which foreigners might not be aware of) and accepts credit cards or electronic payments without any issues. Recommended.

05/08/2024: Ho acquistato dei biscotti (pagati 35€ al chilo). La scadenza era sbagliata e, quelli che pensavamo fossero al cacao, invece erano bruciati. Una vera presa in giro.

31/08/2024: I've stayed in so many hotels through Italy, and this has to be the worst. As a solo traveller, I am used to paying the same cost as others sharing a room. Firstly, Hotel Silvo put me in the only disabled access room in the hotel - when I booked a double room with a balcony - not the disabled room. Secondly, the drain in the shower was blocked, which I discovered while showering. This resulted in standing in disgusting drain water that pooled in the shower floor. Thirdly, as the room is for disabled access, the shower had a very minimal lip. With the water pooling in the base, it leaked all over the bathroom and out to the bedroom. Fourthly, the only powerpoint with the plug that fits the adapters, was on the floor outside the bathroom. With the water running into to bedroom, all my electronics which were charging got wet. Fifthly, I tried to call the hotel from the phone next to the bed, inly to discover, the phone was not working. Sixthly, I reported to reception the next morning, who was very nice and helpful. However, she couldn't give me another room as the hotel was fully booked. I requested a refund, as this was not the room I paid for and all the drama with the room. Reception asked her manager to which the answer was no, they offered me a free pass to go to the 10 euro beach next door. And lastly, there are no hangers to hang towels, so had to use the shower rail. As the drain is a health and safety issue, as well as not the room I booked, a refund should be expected. Absolutely would never stay here again.

18/08/2024: Hotel Silvio is in a good location, walkable to the town of Bellagio within 20 minutes. Room was clean with great view to Lake Como at a great value. Breakfast was decent enough, it could have used better quality pastry and bread. Service was ok, except for one reception person who called me out on refilling a bottle out of the freezer water offered at reception, she said that was only a welcome drink that were supposed to drink that water only at arrival, which is kinda weird given it’s tap water jug with some lemon and mint. Bedding and bathroom could be upgraded a bit. Note that the restaurant doesn’t offer dinner, just some small menu items. overall, we enjoyed it.

20/08/2024: All the food is frozen or pre-cooked, they don't have a kitchen, you can see the frozen pizzas and how they heat them right away, it's shameful what they charge and how they deceive customers. In addition, the prices are expensive, it takes half an hour to serve you and there are 4 waitresses watching, while the “cook” heats up the frozen pizzas and lasagnas. I add photos of the frozen pizza and lasagna, there you have your “kitchen”, for those who don't believe it, and whoever goes, show them the wood oven 😂 I hope people stop going and don't cheat anymore.

15/08/2024: Great address! With a crowd of people and well they were willing to take us! We were on the small terrace behind, quiet. Very good dishes and at reasonable prices. It’s probably trays but it’s still good and not expensive! So it’s up to you to choose!! The staff is very friendly! Thanks everyone!

05/11/2024: Bar e caffè storico, l'interno è spettacolare, ma vista la bellissima giornata novembrina ci siamo seduti sotto i portici per uno spritz campari vista lago. Personale gentile, aperitivo ottimo.

13/10/2024: Este fue sin duda el peor servicio que he experimentado en un restaurante en mi vida. He viajado a más de 30 países, esta es mi octava vez en Italia, y mi segunda vez en el Lago de Como, y me sorprendió la extrema grosería, la falta de preparación de los camareros y la falta de profesionalismo en el Bar Rossi en Bellagio, Lago de Como. Conozco bien la cultura italiana, ya que mi familia es de ascendencia italiana, pero este restaurante roza la falta de profesionalidad. Nos sentamos en este restaurante porque mi padre, que es diabético, necesitaba tomar un macchiato con leche con un panino. Las bebidas llegaron en 15 minutos, lo que es razonablemente aceptable. Después de 25 minutos, los panini todavía no habían llegado, así que seguí. El camarero dijo que estaba en camino. Y sin embargo, no llegó. Salí de la zona exterior y entré a hablar con los camareros. Para mi sorpresa, hablé con una señora (de unos 50 años) que era camarera y le dije ‘por favor’, ¡y ella se apartó de mí y me ignoró! Hablé con otro camarero en el mostrador que no me prestó atención! Solo un tercer camarero tuvo el valor de decirme que se habían quedado sin pan para el panino y que tomaría otros 10 minutos ya que estaban tratando de conseguir algo. Entonces le dije: ‘Cancela, me voy porque mi padre no puede esperar más y tengo un horario’. Fui a hablar con un hombre en la cajera, que parecía tener unos 30 años y vestía de manera diferente, pareciendo ser el gerente o el maître d’, pero no se identificó. Le dije: ‘Quiero cerrar la cuenta y cancelar el panino’. Para mi sorpresa, respondió: ‘¿Cuál es tu mesa?’ Yo estaba como, ‘Disculpe?’ Repitió: “¿Cuál es tu mesa?” de manera grosera y enojada. Como no soy camarero, es su responsabilidad saber esto, así que no pude responder. El camarero original vio que no sabía el número de la mesa y se lo indicó. Pagamos la cuenta, y le dije lo que había pasado, pero me miró con desdén e indiferencia. Para colmo, cuando nos íbamos, los mismos 50 - algo camarera que me había ignorado le dijo a otro camarero que nuestra mesa era una ‘vergüenza’. Esto me lo informó mi anciana madre. En resumen, es una vergüenza que un restaurante no tenga pan y trate a los clientes de esta manera. Aquí está mi relato, donde estuve con cuatro ancianos mayores de 70 años, que fueron extremadamente maltratados en el Bar Rossi.
