The owner is insulting in the review.
09/11/2025: Food was delicious! Staff were friendly. Enjoyed the atmosphere with all of the wines. I ordered pizza and my husband ordered Spaghettoni with Scampi, King Prawns, Lobster and Tomatoes. For dessert we ordered the chocolate in three different ways and it did not disappoint!

25/11/2025: A really beautiful and high-quality place, the waiter who served our table named Carlo had a very high work ethic, was pleasant and smiling, his recommendations were excellent.
He closed our vacation with a smile.
I recommend it, but be aware that the place is not cheap.

A little to quick, I might have ordered an aperetif to the dessert if the waiter hadn't been so quick. :)
This is a place that rises above many of the other restaurants around there.

09/10/2025: I happened to pass by it on my way back from a hike to Peschiera. What can I say, lucky me! The pizza was superb (tomato, Gorgo, sausage, and parmesan), Roman-style, so thin. The glass of white wine was also good. Highly recommended!

30/11/2025: Just steps from the Scaligero Castle. The appetizers are excellent, especially the squid ink pasta. Prices are in line (or perhaps lower) than those of other restaurants in Sirmione.
24/11/2025: I booked this restaurant that evening and was pleasantly surprised. It stands out for its sprawling location, consisting of two adjacent rooms. The room where I dined was elegantly furnished and tastefully decorated. The service was highly professional. The dishes were generous but well-organized, and well-priced. I recommend the fried lake fish.

Before finding the
Ristorante La Nuova Botte, we went to other restaurants that were rudely told they had no seats.
The staff at La Nuova Botte welcomed us very kindly and courteously, even though it was full.
Excellent food. Excellent value. Very generous portions.
Great prices. Very, very friendly staff.
At the end, a pleasant surprise: the focaccia we requested to accompany the appetizer was offered free of charge.
Recommended restaurant!!
We will definitely be back.

22/10/2025: An Italian restaurant offering seafood and meat dishes on a small, secluded street in the center, with a few tables outside.
The pasta dishes and lake fish are beautifully cooked and plated, as are the homemade desserts, and there are often off-menu options. The hostess is welcoming and easygoing, but a bit overbearing. The location is average but pleasant, especially in the evening, without being overly elegant. Prices are reasonable for the quality, more affordable than many other restaurants in Sirmione.
However, I can't give it more than three stars because, on both occasions we dined here, I was served a different dish than what I ordered. A little more attention to detail between the kitchen and the service could improve an already excellent standard.

02/11/2025: Poor quality food. We asked for sautéed vegetables and they served them boiled. The lasagna was made with sour tomato sauce. The pizza was mediocre. You pay €3.50 per person for a cover charge, but you get cheap oil and rubbery bread.

14/11/2025: Horrible tiramisu, I wouldn't wish that on my enemy. Uncut pizza and much worse than in Romania, we are still in Italy, I had some expectations. The prices are normal. But the food is of a quality that does not do justice to the place. You also pay 5 euros for serving, and the cutlery and glasses are very scratched and ugly….

13/06/2025: Terrible food. They Lied that they have pizza carbonara and made a scene in front of the people when they brought me liquid wet pizza. I only said “i dont like it , can i pay and go”.
You can be mad that i didnt ate your “pizza” but end of the day its your food that is terrible.
23/05/2025: We had the best pizza ever —truly wonderful taste! Before that, we also enjoyed the bruschetta and prosciutto with melon, which were excellent. Unfortunately, the waiter accidentally spilled my glass of wine. That’s not a big issue—these things can happen to anyone. However, the way the staff handled it afterward was absolutely unacceptable.
The waiter spilled a glass of wine that was half full, but instead of replacing it, he brought me back an empty glass. Only after I asked did I finally receive a new glass with wine. Moreover, they made no effort to properly clean up the mess. Instead, they simply placed a second tablecloth over the wet table. As you can imagine, this didn’t help—within seconds, the second tablecloth was soaked as well.
But hold on—the worst part came at the end. Instead of apologizing for the accident, the waiter discussed the situation with another waiter, seemingly disagreeing that I should receive a new, full glass of wine.
That was the conclusion of our 80€ evening…

L'angolo del Caffè

07/07/2025: incredibile! per la prima volta il prezzo del caffè espresso è differente dal caffè macchiato. Infatti per aver aggiunto una goccia di latte il prezzo dell'espresso è passato da euro 130 a euro 140.
Assurdo! 10 centesimi in più per l'aggiunta della goccia di latte.
