23/11/2025: We had lunch here on the second Sunday of October. It was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is lovely, located near the Forlì park. The staff who served us were impeccable, friendly, and kind. We tried appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Everything was delicious! Highly recommended 👍

20/11/2025: I usually like to try different restaurants, but I returned to Don Abbondio and it confirmed the high quality of both the food and the service. The fresh pasta was of high quality, as were the meat and desserts. Everything we tried was superb. Thanks again. 5 stars on every level. I recommend it!

15/10/2025: The setting is very nice, considering it's surrounded by busy roads, but once you get there, you're in a completely different world. The service is very efficient and fast, although unfortunately the kitchen doesn't use all the fresh fish (which doesn't mean it's not good enough). The bill wasn't excessive. All in all, a pleasant lunch.

12/12/2025: Romagna-style trattoria. Best to book. It's great because you can customize the main dish, choose which crostini, etc. Panzanella, pasta and beans, which aren't easy to find. Tagliatelle with wild boar ragù. They've always satisfied us.

04/12/2025: I went Sunday afternoon with friends and had a great time. I returned with my friends on Wednesday evening, 25 minutes before closing time, to grab a quick gelato, when we ran into the waitress outside. We asked if we could get gelato, and she arrogantly and very annoyed replied that they close at 9 pm and that we could leave, but not at a table or a cup of gelato. Since I've been there several times this summer with friends, I definitely won't be returning. What can I say? When you own a business, it's annoying when an employee gets a bad review, but when you're an employee, you do what you want.

31/10/2025: This is our third visit to this seafood restaurant located in the historic center of Cesenatico, near the fishmongers and the canal port. Four of us dined on a recently renovated veranda, used as an extension to the historic restaurant. The wait staff were warm and helpful. We enjoyed homemade tagliolini, seafood risotto, and passatelli with fish sauce and Taggiasca olives. For our second course, we shared a generous and excellent Gran Fritto di pesce (Great Fried Fish). It was all accompanied by a couple of bottles of excellent local sparkling wine, Pignoletto. Table service was prompt and efficient. Excellent value for money. A must-try for us, highly recommended! Congratulations, we'll definitely be back!

14/11/2025: You can choose what to drink: cocktails, gin and tonic (a good selection of gin), wine (I thought it was a great selection), and beer. The food is interesting, not just the platters: I had the meatballs, which were delicious, and the focaccia/crescente/schiacciata (whatever you call it, depending on where you're from) served as a side dish was excellent. Reasonable prices.

27/10/2025: A unique outdoor spot in the center of Cesenatico.... Original bruschetta by the meter, made with quality bread and a wide selection of flavors. Friendly staff!

16/09/2025: Along the Cesenatico canal, it offers excellent piadinas, crostoni, and salads. Recommended for a unique lunch or dinner.

20/10/2025: We went there for dinner based on previous reviews. The ambiance is very nice, the service friendly. The food was okay, but nothing that really convinced me. We had beef fillet, stuffed veal meatballs, chicken, and meat skewers. We each had the side dish of grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes. The meat was very tasty, hence 4 stars. The side dish was okay, but a maximum of 3 stars (lots of grilled eggplant and zucchini, a grilled tomato, and a few roasted potatoes, of which I would have liked a lot more in proportion to the vegetables). We also had two glasses of Primitivo, which was really good. So, overall, a kind 4 stars; 3.5 would have been more appropriate for me personally!

23/11/2025: Dinner with friends. You see the appetizer along with the risotto and grilled fish. The photos of the seafood strozzapreti, the fried pasta, and the dessert are missing. Honestly, for the €62 we paid, it wasn't worth it. As you can see from the photo, to see what was on the skewer, I had to look at the plate next to it, which wasn't burned.

21/07/2025: Although the restaurant has a beautiful location, I was disappointed by the fish. I ordered the grilled fish mix, but everything was breaded and unseasoned. The vegetables served with it were raw and also unseasoned, and there was no dressing. This restaurant is only for people who are absolute raw food fans and want to enjoy everything in its purest form, even without salt or pepper. The prices were exorbitant, but the service was top-notch. All in all, this restaurant scores mainly because of its great location, not the food.

15/10/2025: Tried it the other day with my wife and a couple of local friends, who are already regulars at the Rimini branch (where we've always had divine food). Our high expectations were quickly dashed when we realized that the maple syrup pancakes we ordered were not only tough and chewy (a typical phenomenon that occurs when you overmix the batter), but also hard and dried out on the sides. Seriously inedible. I'm not exaggerating when I say they're three times better than the ones we heat up at home from the supermarket! On the other hand, the French toast was limp and undercooked. The girl serving us at the table offered to have them remade, but we refused when we saw that the other pancakes coming out of the kitchen looked exactly the same. Furthermore, we had asked for drinks to be served with our food, but they arrived 10 minutes later, when we were already more than halfway through our meal. The staff didn't mention a possible discount (especially since you're asked to pay immediately) or a future voucher to make up for the bad impression, so there was little business acumen in this regard... All for the "modest" price of €30 per couple. The unisex bathroom downstairs was poorly maintained and full of cobwebs. Honestly, I can't explain such a gap between the main office in Cesena and the Rimini branch we frequented, where the work is done in a completely different way and with far higher quality standards. What a shame!
