07/09/2025: On a very difficult day due to a memorable traffic jam in Bologna, I found a parking spot to escape to the bathroom, and in this place they pretended there wasn't enough water for me to use the restroom. I was speechless. Luckily, the bar across the street was welcoming.

On the two occasions I've been there, the girls seemed annoyed both times. Their pastries and biscuits are truly innovative. Perhaps they could use a little more attention to their customers.

31/12/2025: A truly special place. I haven't found anything like it anywhere else, and I've traveled the world. Deaf people work there, but everything runs exactly like a "normal" place. The amazing thing is that you don't just encounter Italian sign language here, but international sign language! Because people from different cultures work there, which is fantastic. Sign language is different all over the world!! I recommend this special place to everyone! I love it!!!

I had to constantly chase up the owners, asking for missing items—water, glasses, napkins... Music was guaranteed, but then it was completely absent. I strongly advise against hosting private parties (whether graduation or not) here; there are much better options out there.

Extremely insistent service. They brought us the spices for the meat, but they literally took them away after two minutes to be brought to the table next to ours. The same treatment occurred when clearing the table, where they ask if they can clear your plate more than once, even while you're finishing your meal. Despite this, the ingredients are good and well-prepared, even for gluten-free options.

Everything else was horrible, no space between the tables, we had a table next to a very stinking toilet and the entrance to the kitchen. The pizza was too thick and therefore soaked, the personnel was rude. On top of that the extra payment for a table is 5 euros, the most we ever payed in bologna and 2 euros for tab water with smelly glasses! I don't know how they approved it for a gluten free certification, but they should definitely inspect it for higenic standards! I hope I didn't get glutened as well!

15/02/2026: I walk in and ask for a plain coffee. As it happens, I find two euros on the floor. The waiter notices me bending down to pick them up and approaches me, threatening to give them to him because, according to him, "they belong to the establishment." I politely refuse, explaining that since they have an automatic change machine, they can't belong to the establishment but to some unfortunate person who lost them. At that point, the waiter tells his colleague not to make me a coffee and invites me to leave. I leave the two euros there and leave. My first and last visit to this place, who knows? Maybe the coffee was even good.

03/12/2025: I've been going to Zanarini's for ten years, but today something surprising happened. When I asked if the traditional panettone contained almonds, the saleswoman started talking loudly, saying that someone had even fainted in front of her because of it, and maintaining that, even though it's not indicated, almonds "are everywhere." She then walked away, leaving me with the product in hand, to discuss the matter with another colleague while laughing. When she returned to speak to another customer, I pointed out that certain information can be shared without being so aggressive. Her response was, "That's just how I am." I'd rather not comment... That said, the panettone—both traditional and chocolate—is delicious, as are the coffees. It's still a must-visit every time I return to Bologna.
