11/02/2025: We booked for 7.45pm and showed up on time with an empty place. We had to ask for drinks to be brought to us and in the meantime other customers entered. After the 4th order they took from people who came in later, we asked them to take our order too. This perhaps annoyed the blonde lady, I presume the owner, as she was walking around in slippers (crocs) who took the order and when asked the second question about the ingredients she replied in an annoyed tone "it's a ham pizza" that's what it's called! Too bad that the ham pizza was different on the menu and the question was legitimate. The laughter when we see that we didn't leave even a penny of tip makes us understand that you didn't care, but it's the polite way to make you understand that the service isn't up to par with the worst tavern.

09/02/2025: We had lunch in this restaurant in Roccaraso enjoying typical dishes from the mountain area. The menu is in line with expectations. The quality of the dishes was normal as were the portions. The location is beautiful. The service was not impeccable perhaps due to the position of our table. We often had to show up to get the attention of the staff in the room but otherwise they were always very helpful. Too bad I paid €3 for 0.75cl of filtered water. They don't make kebabs for lunch 😭

17/01/2025: La nostra esperienza al ristorante La Staffa di Roccaraso è stata decisamente deludente. Appena entrati, siamo stati accolti da un ambiente gelido, sia in termini di temperatura che di ospitalità. Il nostro tavolo era situato proprio davanti alla porta, con una corrente d’aria costante. Alla richiesta di poterci spostare verso uno dei tavoli liberi vicino alla stufa – dove peraltro era comodamente seduta la proprietaria – ci è stato risposto un secco no, non una ma ben due volte. Siamo stati costretti a pranzare con i giubbotti addosso, seduti su sedie letteralmente ghiacciate. Nonostante il freddo, abbiamo cercato di concentrarci sul cibo, ma purtroppo anche questo si è rivelato una delusione. Lo gnocco che abbiamo ordinato era completamente slegato: la scamorza e la pancetta sembravano ingredienti casualmente accostati senza alcuna armonia. L’esperienza è stata talmente negativa che abbiamo deciso di rinunciare anche al dessert, un momento che solitamente salva il pranzo in un locale deludente. Purtroppo, non possiamo che sconsigliare questo ristorante, dove l’attenzione per i clienti sembra essere l’ultima delle priorità.

06/01/2025: Personale e servizio ottimo, proprietari veramente solari e gentili. Ottima la qualità del cibo e porzioni abbondanti. Consigliatissimo!!!!
