19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏

08/01/2026: Brasseur Hugo is located in the heart of Cosenza, just steps from Piazza Bilotti. The location is stunning; the decor, wallpaper, seating, and counter are all beautifully designed and pleasing to the eye. The menu is quite extensive, with plenty of choices for appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees. Service is a bit slow, but the staff is courteous, cheerful, and knowledgeable. The appetizers are excellent, especially the fried chicken and the fataya, which are exceptional and a nice surprise. The sandwiches are large and well-stocked, and delicious. A truly positive experience 😁🍺🍔

21/12/2025: New management... The atmosphere is clean and very welcoming, almost like a suburban pub. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The chef knows his stuff, even when it comes to allergens and dishes for the pickiest of eaters. Good beer.... The sandwiches are top-notch, the fried food is unsurpassed, and the stew is a must-try. A lovely surprise.

21/09/2025: The quality of the fish is excellent. The service is professional, and the location is beautiful. A good selection of dishes, 4/5 of each type, without those endlessly long tourist menus. Prices are in line with seaside seafood restaurants. Highly recommended... And then, in mid-September, with the beach half-empty and the sea in front... peace of mind.

03/01/2026: What a wonderful discovery! Just off the main streets of Tropea, we had a spectacular dinner to round out our camper tour. Both the spaghetti with clams and the spaghetti with seafood were delicious and superbly seasoned, and the grilled fish was plentiful and tasty. Well done, guys, keep up the good work. The robot that brings the food to the table, assisted by the waiter, is a lovely touch. When we return to Tropea, we'll be your guests again. Best regards, Sabina.

30/12/2025: Nice, bright place with a variety of fresh seafood dishes. The wine offered is lovely, and the service is also excellent. Good value for money.

10/11/2025: Evocative, unique, pictorial, an artificial village faithfully reproduced in a huge warehouse. Truly beautiful.

19/08/2025: Great place, exceptional location, and a pizzeria restaurant. Recommended for everything, including the price and the excellent menu offered. The price and quality are fair. I recommend it for the quality and abundance of the dishes, not to mention the excellent pizzas.
