18/02/2024: Tutto ottimo, gentilezza e cortesia sono di casa! Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, crudo eccezionale! Prezzo onestissimo!
09/10/2023: In due abbiamo preso un antipasto, due primi e due calici di vino. L’antipasto misto cotto molto originale e molto buono nonché abbondante e lo abbiamo gustato entrambi. Giudizio diverso per i primi. Spaghetto al nero di seppia e pesce spada: nero di seppia in emulsione al 30% (!) e pomodoro troppo abbondante. Risultato: sapore assolutamente piatto. Altrettanto piatto il gusto della Chitarrina allo scoglio, con vongole bianche (o vongole del Pacifico, sulla cui provenienza dubito il ristoratore mi abbia detto la verità ) e anche qui pomodoro troppo abbondante. Ci aspettavamo di sentire in questi piatti il sapore del mare, che è invece rimasto nella prolissa descrizione del menu. Conto finale: 80 euro. In definitiva credo che quello che abbiamo pagato solo in parte trovi riscontro nella qualità di ciò che abbiamo mangiato. Da un ristorante che ha quasi tutti giudizi molto positivi su Tripadvisor ci aspettavamo qualcosa di più.

18/11/2023: Menù fisso con degustazione di pietanze varie, tutte di ottimo pesce fresco, cucinato sapientemente, dagli antipasti,caldi e freddi, ai primi ed ai secondi. ottimo anche il menù per i bambini. Servizio ottimo. La location, unica ed immersiva, aggiunge sicuramente una stella in più. Il prezzo non è dei più convenienti , ma è assolutamente giustificato dalla qualità a 360 gradi. Esperienza da rifare.
07/10/2023: Guys: I typically refrain from writing reviews. However, this restaurant has a prime location and good reviews. But the food is "cheap" - you know what I mean? It is a well-dressed presentation of a menu of the cheapest quality! You cannot order, this is what you get, which is generally excellent in Italy, but not in this restaurant. Waiters are smiling (California style) and selling you everything you want, I mean in addition to the menu to get the highest bill. No wonder that local people are not visiting this restaurant.

24/02/2024: Aux Fils Du Chevalier si trova in Piazza San Pietro n.4, a Vasto (CH). Immerso nel centro storico, si può raggiungere con facilità girovagando tra le bellissime vie della città. Consigliato il parcheggio auto (gratuito dopo le ore 20): nei paraggi della villa comunale, zona stadio e nel piazzale del comune. Il locale dista pochi metri da Piazza Rossetti e dal Palazzo d'Avalos.
È preferibile prenotare via telefono (soprattutto durante il fine settimana).
Locale interno disposto su 3 piani: piano terra (che sconsiglio vivamente all'atto della prenotazione), secondo piano adibito alla cucina e terzo piano con ampia vetrata vista golfo (da prenotare durante la stagione invernale).
Gli interni sono curati ed ordinati; arredamento rustico, semplice e pulito. Durante la stagione estiva sono disponibili numerosi tavoli nella piazza esterna.
La pizzeria offre ai suoi clienti una pizza sottile: impasto buono, ben digeribile. Criticabile la cottura (alcune pizze erano leggermente bruciate sui bordi e alla base). Nel menù sono presenti anche: antipasti, primi, secondi, contorni, fritti e dolci. Disponibile una carta con le bevande (scarso assortimento di birre).
La specialità rimane senza dubbio la pizza. I prezzi sono onesti per la qualità offerta, nulla da obiettare. Il servizio é migliorabile.
P.S La location interna "antiquata" viene bilanciata dalla stretta vicinanza al centro storico di Vasto e dalla posizione strategica vista golfo.
Il servizio apparentemente attento alle richieste del cliente, rimane il punto debole del locale (richiesta maggiore attenzione, cortesia e presenza).
I camerieri comunicano poco, un pizzico di entusiasmo e cordialità non guasta mai (il giusto, senza esagerare). Nota positiva per il conto. Pizza buona, sicuramente migliorabile nella cottura.

31/03/2024: We came at Easter to eat with family (we are still here). As a cold appetizer they brought us 3 counted slices each of cured meats, a tiny piece of cheese and a teaspoon of vegetables. As hot appetizers (be careful we speak in the plural) one meatball, cheese and eggs each. As first courses they brought us a quarter of a plate of broth and a lasagna with an acidic aftertaste (my grandmother had to bring the first course for me as I have celiac disease). The meat was at the level of the worst discount stores and partly still raw, the potatoes were terrible and badly cooked. In general the portions are very small and the food of poor quality. The icing on the cake was the hair on the plate. In short, 40 euros very badly spent. The bathrooms don't lock, the men's bathroom doesn't have a key and the women's bathroom doesn't lock the door. My uncle didn't even finish lunch to run home to go to the bathroom since they wouldn't give him the key haha. In the attachment I leave the photo of the dessert (dove complete with paper still stuck to it). I don't understand how this place has all these positive reviews, people at all the tables have complained. P.s. I hope they didn't eat the rest of my gluten-free lasagna. I had to bring first course and dessert from home and they still charged me 40 euros. SCANDALOUS.

This restaurant with open kitchen is a favor for those who want to eat FRESH fish and not the usual cheap dishes.
