24/11/2024: This review refers to my personal experience on Saturday 19 August 2023. There were 5 of us eating. It's not the first time we've eaten at this restaurant and I must say that I also had quite positive memories of it, it's just a shame that the last time turned out to be a real disappointment. The service was slow and disorganized like few others, over 40 minutes to be served the starter of cold cuts and cheeses (for the sake of truth I must admit that it was excellent, but not enough to save that day from total disaster). Such an exhausting wait, for a course that by its nature should be served quickly, I would already struggle to accept in a packed restaurant, let alone in a restaurant that wasn't even half full at that time. The real sore point, however, will come with the first courses: the dish of pasta alla guitar with Altino peppers with asparagus and black truffle (so-called "chitarrina erotica") was truly tasteless like few others. The sauce tasted like nothing and on an olfactory level, instead of releasing good flavours, it practically released water vapour. The plate of pappardelle with hare ragù ordered by my girlfriend was also equally bland and tasteless. In all this, the worst thing was that it was between 1.30pm and 2pm, I saw a gentleman who was interested in eating at the restaurant, he asked the owner if there was room, and even though the place wasn't occupied even for three quarters, we hear the owner reply "we're very messed up... We're doing the first and second". I find this answer to be simply unspeakable for at least two reasons: 1. Having a place at least three-quarters full, if not completely, should not be synonymous with "very messed up", but ordinary administration for those who manage a restaurant; 2. But what is the answer "we are doing the former and the latter"? You're a restaurant, dammit! You're just doing your job. It may have been a particularly unlucky day, but on that Saturday in August I really saw a lot, too much amateurism. The staff seemed to have no idea what it was like to run a restaurant. Absurd!
