Incredible First Meal in Rome – Cozy, Flavorful, and Memorable After a long travel day, we were lucky enough to land at ZIG Ristorante Roma Prati for our first dinner in Rome and it absolutely hit the mark. Our golf cart tour guide overheard us wondering where to go, and he took the liberty of securing us a reservation here. Great call. We started with a round of appetizers cacio de pepe balls (amazing), fresh hummus with meatballs, and a classic bruschetta that was spot on. For mains, the whole table explored the menu: Chase had the shrimp tartare pasta, Collin went all in on the seafood pasta, and Carin and I shared a crisp Caesar salad and the standout octopus ragù pasta. Every bite was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully plated. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the vibe was the perfect mix of laid-back and stylish. Great wine, great people, and a great way to kick off our Rome adventure. ZIG has our full recommendation it’s a gem worth returning to.

Found this lovely basement restaurant on the last evening of our three day trip. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional by Monica who couldn’t do enough for us, she even cleaned my shirt when I spilled food on it. My only regret is we didn’t find this place earlier. Will definitely call back on our next trip to Rome.

Friendly and attentive service. We ordered two delicious salads with very fresh ingredients. However, one of them came with bland boiled potatoes.

Abbiamo optato per una selezione di antipasti e contorni, stile finger food, cercando di assaporare varie cucine (dal vitello tonnato alla polpetta di melanzane su letto di hummus o quelle cacio e pepe). I piatti si presentavano accurati e di buona qualità. Servizio rapido, prezzo nella media.

Ho avuto il piacere di gustare un aperitivo davvero eccellente La qualità delle proposte, dalla selezione dei cocktail agli stuzzichini, è stata impeccabile. Ogni dettaglio, dalla presentazione all’atmosfera curata e accogliente, ha reso l’esperienza unica. Un posto perfetto per rilassarsi e godersi un momento speciale. Tornerò sicuramente!
