Strolling through the stunning park. Reggio Emilia Hills

A very beautiful park, partly grassy and partly wooded, with a picnic and barbecue area. It sits on top of a hill, offering beautiful views of both the Reggio Emilia plain and the hills towards the Apennines. There's also a bar/restaurant. The only downside is the outdoor restrooms, which are in absolutely TERRIBLE condition, clearly not cleaned in a while and full of cobwebs. The outdoor restroom next to the bar (which isn't actually part of the bar, I understand) also wasn't very nice, even though it was morning and the park was still mostly empty. Otherwise, it's definitely worth a visit; it's a beautiful oasis just a short distance from Reggio Emilia. Five stars for the park, one star for the restrooms.

Roncolo Park has always been beautiful, but unfortunately in recent years it hasn't been looked after as it should be. It's been left to decay. The paths are increasingly abandoned, and they all tend to close. Very little maintenance is needed, which is a shame.

Excellent BBQ and table service, plenty of recycling bins and trash cans in the parking lots. The trails, however, are poorly maintained and poorly marked, but offer excellent panoramic views of the plains and the Apennines. A big hug to the man who keeps it clean; he's truly a lovely person.

The park is easily accessible with parking. Many well-marked and maintained trails offer beautiful hillside views. There's a café for rest and lunch, along with a well-equipped picnic area. A good starting point for hill walking.

In the late afternoon, a quiet place, with a bar available and a friendly owner,... Recommended for an aperitif in contact with nature or an escape from the city... Possibility of barbecue in a designated area... Not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.

Well-equipped green space, various paths nestled in the green forest, not very demanding.
