VIVI CAFE In Desenzano del garda

It's worth checking out other restaurants nearby. The food was wrong, and the atmosphere wasn't as nice. But it was tasty!

We went here twice, the first time it was amazing 10/10 steak one of the best ribeyes ive tasted that time we were served by this nice bald guy with glasses i think he said he was brazilian. He was very nice showed us the steaks we gonna get raw before they got cooked, talked to us and he was very nice. When we got the food it was amazing and the fries on the side were also perfect and the steak was perfectly cooked. But the second time however we ordered the same thing got a different servant this time tho and the service was fine but when we got the steaks they were noticably worse than last time and the steaks were kind of undercooked we asked for medium and they were almost raw inside and they were cold. Also the fries were soggy. We ordered the same exact thing as last time but now the steaks were just mediocre. Kind of funny, idk if it was a different cook or something but it shouldnt be this inconsistent for this price

This place had real potential, as after speaking with one of the waiters he seemed to know his stuff about meat. The atmosphere was pretty non-existent - reminded me of a large chain restaurant. The onion rings and Camembert fritters were in my opinion frozen. The meat was good, although we opted for the fillet - it seemed to have more fat on it than the usual fillet I’d have back home in Scotland. The sauces were more like a dipping sauce rather than the usual pouring sauce with steak. The peppercorn sauce was like a mustard mayo. Seemed a bit over priced, if I’m being honest. We also waited what seemed to be a long time for our main meal, which isn’t great when you had a kid. Although the drink service was rapid!

Service was ok, menu provided was the tourist menu. Bread on table without asking. I had the trout, small and over cooked.

We ate here tonight and ordered 2 types of meat on the advice of Glauco which were absolutely delicious. But unfortunately when we got the bill of €500,- which said 3 kilos of meat while we had ordered 2 kilos for 4 people..... we were asked if we wanted fries, potatoes or salad with our meat? This was also charged separately! Too bad this was not included in the price of the meat, that is how it came across when our order was taken. And very cheeky to charge a kilo more for a dish with regard to kilo prices than what we ordered. Unfortunately despite the fact that it was very tasty we will not be coming back, we feel cheated.

Fantastic food, delicious meat combined with a magnificent glass of wine. Staff radiates skill and hospitality. Please eat here!

The food was exceptionally good, with a great selection and excellent presentation. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. This was our first time at this restaurant and we would visit again anytime; it's a culinary experience with a beautiful ambiance.
