Excellent food, a very noisy and spacious atmosphere, and prices don't match the food.
Since it's always busy, the service sometimes leaves something to be desired. It's a trattoria, not a restaurant. It's perfect for a quick bite to eat and a glass of wine. Prices are lower at lunchtime, but they go up a bit in the evening. Dinner is only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Informal atmosphere, excellent, truly homemade food, reasonable prices. We went for dinner on Saturday night; the place was packed, but there wasn't a wait. Mondeghili, vegetable croquettes, and mozzarella in carrozza were truly tasty and not heavy, even though they were fried. The desserts weren't up to par with the rest.

A trattoria from another era in Milan.
The setting is typical of old trattorias. Open kitchen and traditional Milanese dishes in a somewhat chaotic setting with tables very close together and a very convivial atmosphere.
The appetizers were truly delicious. The first courses were average.
It's a shame because several items on the menu were unavailable (and it was 8:30 PM on a Thursday evening, anyway).
The service was a bit chaotic, but that's what you'd expect in a place like this.
The price was definitely reasonable, in line with the location, but the food was definitely good.

Business lunch, thank goodness we had reservations! There was a huge line outside, and the staff was hectic and frantic inside. The food was acceptable and served very quickly, so it's more than fine for those in a hurry. Don't expect quality or courtesy; it's a rush! Some hygiene aspects could also be improved, such as the cleanliness of the dining rooms (I won't comment on the kitchen because I could only glimpse it from the outer corner), but the staff also handled food with their bare hands, after taking notes on orders, setting up chairs and tables, and carrying containers and boxes. I hope for their sake they don't face inspections by the NAS anytime soon.

If you're short on time for a great lunch, this is the perfect place! They're all wonderful! I've been there several times for work, but as a native of Puglia, this place made me feel right at home... even eating fava beans with chicory is like being at home...
