Villa Romanazzi Carducci In Bari

I attended a meeting in one of the old rooms. The route to the room fascinated me. The garden was beautifully kept and beautiful, with perfectly placed fountains and, to complete the experience, the lighting gave it a very retro feel. It didn't feel like I was in the city center.

The hotel is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are on the good, not great category. The rooms are ok, but the walls are thin and you can hear the TV in other rooms… Location is not awesome, convenient to get to the train station, but you are not close enough to simply go walling to the old city everyday, nor it is far enough to justify the 22€ flat rate of Uber or the long wait for a called cab.

Very nice hotel. Beautiful surroundings. The hotel has a large outdoor pool. Breakfast is good. I recommend it!

Is it beautiful? Yes. Is it clean? Yes. Is the staff friendly and competent? Yes. BUT the devil is in the details - and being a 4 star hotel is about details. We were on the third floor and the wifi was just terrible. Kept dropping and reconnecting. This is not acceptable in 2025 in a Mercure. Moreover - how is it possible for all the paintings not to hang correctly off the walls? The shower was spacious, with great water pressure - but the glass pane has water traces that are not wiped off daily. The breakfast buffet has a great selection... But the cornetti offered were pitiful and the cappuccinos we were served were very poor given the fact this is an Italian hotel. Conclusion: If you want a nice, clean, restful place to sleep in in a beautiful setting, the Mercure is for you. But they need to work on getting everything right, and not just the big picture.

During a conference, the appointment time was respected, and the welcome and professionalism of Dr. Carmen of the MICE Sales Department were TOP!

The service was nothing short of perfect, with highly trained chefs and truly welcoming waitstaff. The dinner was truly sublime.
