Villa Madruzzo is picturesquely situated on the hills above Trento, just about 4 km from the city center. Getting there is easy, with free on-site parking or an underground garage for €10 per night. The tranquil setting provides an ideal retreat while remaining easily accessible. Our stay in the Mansarda Room (#22), the affordable attic room in the historic villa, was surprisingly comfortable. Despite the small, round windows, the room was quiet and cozy. The villa offers a variety of room categories, including the elegant Madruzzo, Belvedere, Classic, and Garden Rooms, many with stunning views and amenities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a minibar. For just €5 per person per day, we enjoyed the wellness area—an oasis of relaxation with a sauna, steam bath, pool, and waterbed massage. Although the area is rather small for a hotel with almost 100 rooms, it still offers ample opportunities for relaxation. The hotel's restaurant is a highlight. In various dining rooms overlooking the surrounding countryside, the friendly, multilingual staff serves a wide selection of dishes. Although steak tartare is a house specialty, we opted for artichoke and octopus salad as starters, followed by veal liver and local char – all well-prepared and well-cooked. The breakfast buffet the next morning was impressive: a wide selection of fresh, healthy, and sweet options, including an egg station. Conclusion Family-owned Villa Madruzzo impresses with its successful combination of historic charm and modern comfort. The dedicated staff, diverse amenities, and solid cuisine make it a top recommendation for any visitor to Trento.

We spent one night at Villa Madruzzo. The location above Trento is quiet and picturesque – ideal for unwinding, yet close enough to quickly reach the city. Parking is free on site or for €10 in the underground garage. Our room was in the attic and had small, round windows – likely an architectural legacy from the time when the house was still a bishop's residence. Despite the small windows, the room was cozy, quiet, and well-equipped. In the afternoon, we spent two hours in the small but perfectly formed wellness area (€5 per person): sauna, steam bath, pool, and a relaxing waterbed massage – just what we needed after a long day of traveling. In the evening, we ate in the hotel's restaurant. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive and varied, and the restaurant was busy. Our food was good, well-prepared, and a pleasant dining experience. The breakfast buffet the next morning was a real highlight: fresh, lovingly prepared, with sweet, savory, and healthy options, as well as an egg station. A special highlight is the history of the house: The villa dates back to the 16th century, was once the seat of the Prince-Bishops of Trento, and is still family-run today – this is evident in the warm atmosphere and the attentive, multilingual staff. In summary: A historic villa with plenty of charm, well-maintained grounds, a great breakfast, and friendly service. Perfect for a stylish little escape.

Il ristorante si trova sopra Trento, ha un campo sportivo molto vicino per parcheggio (oltre quello interno). La cosa che, alla fine, ci ha intrigato maggiormente, è la possibilità di presentarsi a tavola in un ristorante di livello superiore senza doversi preoccupare di doversi vestire eleganti, in tiro... Abbiamo visto altri tavoli con persone vestite come noi, normalmente, in modo sobrio, senza distinzione di classe. Il servizio è svolto da diversi camerieri, ed è meglio rivolgersi subito a loro per eventuali intolleranze. Qualcuno è più proattivo di altri, e fa il lavoro con più passione. I servizi igienici sono puliti, in ordine, e disponibile comodo al piano un servizio anche per disabili. Abbiamo preso una bottiglia di vino, che all'assaggio è risultata un po' passata d'età e ci è stata sostituita con un'altra di ottima qualità (della Fondaz.Mach) senza alcuna discussione. I vini al bicchiere li trovate al fondo della pagina del menu dei dolci. Per il cibo potete trovare un ricco menu à la carte ed un breve menu del giorno. Noi abbiamo preso: una insalata di carciofi con scaglie di parmigiano (15€) e capesante gratinate con zenzero molto ben dosato e profumo di limone (19€); abbiamo proseguito con spezzatino di cervo sfumato al teroldego (22€) con polenta di Storo e filetto di salmerino alpino alla griglia, cotto molto bene (23€) accompagnato da contorni. Per dolce un semifreddo con cuore alle castagne con salsa di lamponi (7,5€). Ci hanno dato una simpatica borsetta per portare via la bottiglia ancora piena per metà. Nel complesso un giudizio più che positivo, prezzi equi e sicuramente un posto che merita per un'occasione speciale, o anche solo per una coccola meritata.

Oggi ho festeggiato il compleanno di mio papà (85 anni) in questo splendido ristorante che è il nostro preferito. Tutto super e perfetto: ottima qualità, vasta scelta, gentilezza e cordialità, location elegante e luminosa. Mio papà si è emozionato quando, a sorpresa, gli hanno portato (offerto) una piccola sacher con una candela luminosa. Grazie di tutto. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Assutamente consigliato
