This is likely the best hotel in Italy in my opinion. We travel Europe regularly and have stayed in very nice hotels, but this one is over the top. From the location to the staff to the grounds, it is all impeccable. They work very hard to cover any need and request. It’s been here for a VERY long time for a reason!

The dEste is really a beautiful house - we're talking about a 5-star-plus hotel right on the lake. An ideal place to have a drink and unwind in a cozy atmosphere. A little too expensive for my taste, otherwise absolutely great

Views of Lake Como, Gardens and grandeur of the prior summer residence become palace are an amazing mix. Hospitality and service of the ultra pleasant staff cannot be topped.

Siamo stati in Greenhouse per un aperitivo. La location indiscutibilmente bella e con addobbi natalizi da favola. L’aperitivo un po’ deludente, con olive e anacardi stile anni 80. Da una location di tale statura mi aspettavo di più per accompagnare l’aperitivo, qualche piccola canape’ fredda/calda di livello, piccoli dettagli che a mio parere fanno un’enorme differenza. Migliorabile

05/04/2025: Armilla is an innovative restaurant in its menus: they are presented very well and "never disappoint" both in terms of quality and concept. We have been there many times and it has always been a confirmation. The opinion of my guests has always, but truly always, been more than positive. More or less everyone has returned and become regular customers. Certainly the success of the place, from the kitchen to the management, is also thanks to the service which is always courteous and never superficial without being intrusive. I think it's really pleasant, with their innovative proposal, to have lunch or dinner at Armilla!

09/05/2025: Indulge yourself and stop here! Magnificent views, and even better food. We had a 5 course degustation menu over 3 hours - best long lunch ever!
04/05/2025: The place is something alienating from how intimate and delicate it is. It feels like being cuddled by the waves of the lake while the sun goes down and the lights go out. As for the food, I can't say we are 100% satisfied: the char (lake appetizer) lacked a citrus note in my opinion; the seafood tortelli should have been cooked a little longer but the flavor was very good... Overall the wait was a bit long, but perhaps it was intentional given that we are always used to 'rushing'.
