Perfect vacation at this stunning resort! Absolutely magnificent! Can’t wait to come back

Unique. The One and Only The rooms perhaps need to be partially renovated, although the old Italian style adds to the hotel's charm and attracts many American tourists.

This property is luxury from the moment you enter through the gates. Service is excellent, and the attention to detail is evident in every corner of the resort. Afternoon tea, dinner in the veranda and breakfast were all excellent. The checkin process was easy, the gentleman who helped us had been with the resort for over 10 years and was delightful. We truly loved our stay.

I know this location because I'm local, but I've been there on rare occasions. Most recently, I was invited for a drink in the Green House on December 30th. The Villa is truly charming, both for its location and its entrance and spaces, both inside and out. The winter season brought us the magic of the decorations and colored lights, truly elegant and unique. I found the Green House's ambiance unique and characteristic, ideal for an after-dinner drink or a quick meal. The wooden flooring is reminiscent of a traditional Alpine parlor. This allure also comes from the fact that the staff often serve dishes on large, shoulder-borne trays... It's a nice touch, but perhaps a bit out of place in the context of the Villa. The reason for the lack of a fifth star in my rating is that a cocktail was served in a visibly chipped glass (not just cracked, but broken along the top rim). This, combined with the lack of follow-up from management (except, of course, for another cocktail in an unopened glass), I found a bit out of place (considering the location, level of service, and prices, I consider these errors serious). The experience was nevertheless positive, and I will return to Villa d'Este again.

Three of us went yesterday for afternoon tea. The decor was gorgeous, both inside and out. Aside from some staff sloppiness with table assignments and some dry scones, the experience was sublime.

Incredible hotel that is worth the hype it gets. Service was excellent and the hotel is stunning during the holidays.

A true classic on Lake Como in every sense. Spacious rooms, impeccable service. And exceptional decorations during the Christmas season.
